Writing a book review)
Para.1:General facts about the book
Para.2:Plot of the book
Para.3:Comments
Para.4:Conclusion and recommendation
I was really touched by the line;because it shows ...
It tells a story about ...

“Here you go.Up, up and away,” Chrissy yelled, as she pushed her little brother, Russell, on the swing (秋千).Russell smiled and kicked his feet.“Higher! Higher!” he shouted.“Okay, hang on.Here you go!” Chrissy stood forward and gave the swing an extra hard push.“Help!” Suddenly, Russell screamed.
The swing flew so high that it seemed that it might go flying off into the sky.Russell started to cry just as their mom came running over.“I'm sorry, Russell,” Chrissy said.“I didn't mean to scare you.I guess I pushed a little too hard.” Their mom was angry with Chrissy and shouted, “Was it a little too hard That was way too hard, Chrissy! How could you be so irresponsible?” Hearing the word “irresponsible”, Chrissy cried with tears filling her brown eyes.
A week before, her teacher had told her that she was irresponsible for being late for class. And a few days before her dad had used the word “irresponsible” when he blamed her for not hanging up her clothes.“I'm sorry, Mom,” Chrissy said sadly. She turned away and started to walk slowly down the path that wound through the park. That unpleasant word “irresponsible” kept going through Chrissy's head.
Suddenly, Chrissy saw a little girl walking across the grass, heading up a small hill.Chrissy looked around for the parent, but there was no one else in sight.Chrissy knew there was a running stream on the other side of that hill.“It's dangerous,” Chrissy thought. She ran as fast as she could towards the little girl. When she reached the girl, she stepped in front of her, stopping her from running towards the water.
Chrissy picked up the little girl and carried her towards the playground, looking anxiously for her mother.“Where's your mommy?” she asked the little girl, although she thought the girl was probably too young to talk. She was surprised when the little girl pointed to a distant house on the other side of the fence.
Walking close, Chrissy noticed a small hole in the fence where the little girl might have climbed out.In front of a house, Chrissy could see a policeman talking to a woman who looked upset.“Is this your girl?” Chrissy called out. Then the woman and the policeman came running towards the fence.Minutes later, the girl was in the arms of her mom.
注意: 1.写作词数应为80左右;
Just then, Chrissy's mom and her brother Russell came looking for her.The policeman told them that Chrissy had probably saved the girl's life.“You have a very responsible daughter there,” the policeman said to Chrissy's mom.Hearing that, her mom smiled proudly. The next day, the headline in the newspaper read: Responsible Nine-Year-Old Girl Saves A Baby — with an article about Chrissy.
After reading it, her parents said, “We're proud of you, Chrissy. You are really a responsible young lady.” Feeling inspired, Chrissy now is never late for school. She almost always remembers to hang up her clothes, and is careful when she pushes Russell on the swing. And nobody ever calls her “irresponsible” anymore.

In the most basic sense, self-regulation (自我调节) involves controlling one's behavior and thoughts in pursuit (追求) of long-term goals.Generally, people who are good at self-regulation tend to see the good in others and view challenges as opportunities. They exactly know what they want to achieve, act in accordance with their views, and devote their best effort. 1
2 A bad-tempered child who hits others will be tiresome at school. An adult with poor self-regulation skills may lack self-confidence.He may have difficulty handling stress, and often, this might be expressed in terms of anger and anxiety.
How do problems with self-regulation develop? It could start early when a baby isn't treated with enough care. 3 Later, an adult may struggle with self-regulation, either because this ability wasn't developed during childhood, or because of a lack of skill in managing difficult feelings. When left unchecked, over time this could lead to risky behavior.
4 One of the most frequently used methods is to change your thought patterns, which means that you think about a situation in a positive way, rather than one that's likely to increase negative emotions. 5 Rather than thinking that this reflects something about yourself such as “My friend hates me”, you might instead think, “My friend must be really busy”.
A.Try to cheer yourself up after disappointment.
B.Do the usual series of things at a particular time.
C.A child who doesn't feel safe may have trouble self-regulating.
D.A lack of self-regulation will cause problems in life.
E.Anyhow, self-regulation is so important that we should learn to use this skill.
F.For example, imagine a friend who doesn't return your calls or texts for several days.
G.Also they can calm themselves when feeling upset and cheer themselves when feeling down.
根据下文“A bad-tempered ...may lack self-confidence.”
4.选E 根据下文“One of the ...increase negative emotions.”
5.选F 根据下文“Rather than ...‘My friend must be really busy’.” 1 / 6

The book The Old Man and the Sea was written by Ernest Hemingway. The hero is an old fisherman named Santiago.
The novel tells a story about how the hero fights against a very large fish, which is difficult to cope with.Even faced with the threat from a shark, he finally succeeds in bringing the fish out of the sea.By reading the book, we can feel the old man's strong determination to be ready to overcome the hardship that he is faced with, and this helps us to be stronger and determined when we face challenges.
Personally, I think this is a touching story that will motivate everyone, whatever their age.
