Writing a survival story)
和最后一句中的That's lucky, because ...
特别是最后两句“If I can solve that challenge, and if the electricity supply holds.I can survive until I am rescued. There's still hope!”
Our teacher _______________ because there was only a little time left for us to finish this task.
was very worried

Brady was a recently retired search and rescue dog.He was not happy and missed his owner Al because Al had gone out on a rescue mission without him.Al's nephew Steve took Brady along when he and his friend Zach went on a overnight hike. But suddenly Steve and Zach smelled something burning and they realized that lightning had set the woods on fire.
Wind-blown flame had leaped from the top of one tree to another. The long dry summer had turned the forest into a tinderbox (火绒箱) and the thunderstorm wasn't helping much.It had more wind and lightning than rain.Zach pulled Steve's arm.“Let's go! We can make it back to the river we crossed today.” Steve pulled Brady's leash (皮带) and their heads down against the strong fire-wind, they hurried down the path they had followed earlier. The air was full of smoke, and pine branches broke from burning trees with a crisp sound.Steve kept his eyes on the route. All they had to do was to make it down to the river ...
Brady barked a sharp warning.Ahead of them lay a dense curtain of smoke across the path. They'd never make it through that. They would have to find another escape route. The dog was pulling at his leash trying to draw them away from the smoke. This was what Brady was trained to do, and yet Steve was uneasy. It seemed to him they were moving away from the river.
Brady lifted his head and smelled the smoky wind.Suddenly, the dog ran away and disappeared. The boys yelled and shouted for him, but he didn't come back.
They had no choice but to leave him behind.Heartsick, Steve and Zach went up a slope (斜坡).He couldn't blame Brady for panicking and escaping. He himself wanted to run even though he didn't have a clue which way. They hadn't gone far when there was a familiar bark, and Brady came running toward him.
“Where have you been?” Steve cried.Brady stopped directly in front of him and started pushing him back toward the slope they'd just climbed. When Steve still didn't get it, Brady grabbed the boy's jeans and pulled harder. The message was clear, but Steve hesitated.Of course he remembered what his uncle had said about Brady saving his life, but that had been a long time ago.Was he still sharp enough to get them through this Brady pulled again, urgently.“OK, big guy,” Steve decided.
注意: 1.续写词数应为80左右;
Brady led them back down the slope and into the trees.
Brady led them back down the slope and into the trees.Several times the big dog stopped to get his escape route.Often he changed direction. How long they'd walked Steve had no idea.He just held onto Brady's leash with one hand and kept putting one foot in front of the other. He was almost numb when he heard the wonderful sound of rushing water. The river! With a yell the boys ran unsteadily forward until they jumped in cool, running water.“Brady, you did it!”

When the British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson described nature as “red in tooth and claw”, he was telling us that the natural world can be cruel as well as beautiful. 1
Most people living in urban areas rarely encounter wild animals in their natural surroundings. 2 And they are willing to get close to them. But for wild animals, it is “eat or be eaten”, and they can't distinguish between humans and other animals.
3 In Canadian woods lives a dog-like animal, coyote, which is a little bigger than a fox, but smaller than a wolf. They usually avoid humans, but the occasional attacks can be deadly.Every year, one or two people end up getting killed by coyotes.
Earlier last year, a herd of elephants in Yunnan left their home in the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve and went on a meandering journey through the province. They destroyed crops and buildings along the way.Villages in their path had to be evacuated because of the potential dangers they posed to villagers.Animal experts haven't determined why the elephants went on their journey. 4 The wild animals we love are in a constant struggle for survival. Our expanding into the natural habitats of wild animals can be dangerous for the animals and then us humans as well.
Maybe we should try to stay away from them. 5 Their lives — red in tooth and claw — are difficult enough without us causing them any more problems than they already have.
A.A walk in the woods can be dangerous.
B.It is a way to protect the wild animals, and it's also our responsibility.
C.In Canada, people have a more realistic attitude towards wild animals.
D.In simple terms, we should try to keep proper distance from wild animals.
E.Hence they misunderstand that wild animals are just as friendly as Disney characters.
F.Thanks to active environmental conservation, the number of the elephants grew larger.
G.A reasonable possibility is that they probably needed more room and more food to survive.
G项提到了一个合理的可能性,恰好与下文的“in a constant struggle for survival”对应。

When the British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson described nature as “red in tooth and claw”, he was telling us that the natural world can be cruel as well as beautiful.__1__
Most people living in urban areas rarely encounter wild animals in their natural surroundings.__2__ And they are willing to get close to them. But for wild animals, it is “eat or be eaten”, and they can't distinguish between humans and other animals.
__3__ In Canadian woods lives a dog like animal, coyote, which is a little bigger than a fox, but smaller than a wolf. They usually avoid humans, but the occasional attacks can be deadly.Every year, one or two people end up getting killed by coyotes.
Earlier last year, a herd of elephants in Yunnan left their home in the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve and went on a meandering journey through the province. They destroyed crops and buildings along the way.Villages in their path had to be evacuated because of the potential dangers they posed to villagers.Animal experts haven't determined why the elephants went on their journey.__4__ The wild animals we love are in a constant struggle for survival. Our expanding into the natural habitats of wild animals can be dangerous for the animals and then us humans as well.
Maybe we should try to stay away from them.__5__ Their lives — red in tooth and claw — are difficult enough without us causing them any more problems than they already have.

Dear Johnson,
My classmates and I took part in a wildness survival program from Thursday to Saturday last week.I can't wait to share some relevant details with you.
Before we started, we were equipped with a compass, a map, a first aid kit, tents, flashlights, some food, some clothes and so on.In the wild, we climbed three hills and swam across two rivers. But then we lost our way in the forest.Luckily, we found the right direction with the help of the compass. As soon as we arrived at the campsite, we put up our tents, made a fire and then started cooking. We also learned how to give first aid.
Through the program, we learned to use knowledge gained in class to solve problems. It was quite an unforgettable experience for me.
Yours,
Li Hua

Brady led them back down the slope and into the trees.Several times the big dog stopped to get his escape route.Often he changed direction. How long they'd walked Steve had no idea.He just held onto Brady's leash with one hand and kept putting one foot in front of the other. He was almost numb when he heard the wonderful sound of rushing water. The river! With a yell the boys ran unsteadily forward until they jumped in cool, running water.“Brady, you did it!”

G项提到了一个合理的可能性,恰好与下文的“in a constant struggle for survival”对应。
