Period 5 Section B (2a—3c)
一、教材分析
What: 本课时第一部分为写作训练,总结句型结构并撰写申请加入社团的邮件。Project内容是让学生成立一个自己的社团。该项目活动让学生体验学校社团从成立到招募新成员的全过程,包括三个主要环节。
Why: 写作部分总结句型及撰写邮件的模版,降低同学们的写作难度,减轻同学们的写作焦虑。整个项目活动具有开放性和综合性,是对学生综合语言运用能力的挑战,也是对学生动手能力、独立思考能力和创新能力的培养。
How: 写作练习中直接给出学生句型结构和写作框架,使同学只需要填入具体信息即可,简化写作流程,降低写作难度。Project中,活动3a让学生大胆思考,确定自己想成立的一个社团。活动3b要求学生为自己的社团制作招募新成员的海报,教材提供了一个机器人社团的招募广告作为参考,并提示学生这类广告中应包含的基本信息:社团名称、社团成员须具备的能力、活动时间和地点、联系方式等。最后是招募环节,活动3c提供了招募对话的框架,以及信息记录表格,供招募者记录应招同学的基本情况,并确定是否能加入社团。除了询问应招者是否具备相应能力,还有必要询问他们是否有时间参与社团活动。
二、教学内容
1. 了解邮件的格式,明确如何写一封申请加入社团的邮件。
2. 复习本单元所学的话题词汇及关键表达,在班级内模拟完成招募社团新成员的任务。
三、教学目标

四、教学重难点
重点:
1.学生可以运用本单元所学的单词、短语和句型制作海报,创立自己的社团。
2.学生们可以面试他们的合作伙伴,并为社团找到新的成员。
难点:
能运用自己所学的相关英语语言知识, 模仿所学过的相关材料来描述自己所熟悉的人物的能力或制作简单的海报。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Review &Lead in
1.Let students do the exercises of this unit.
2.The teacher checks the answers and shows the fallible words or sentence patterns on the blackboard.
(The exercises must include the key and difficult points and fallible points.)

Step 2 Writing
Work on 2a
1.Let students read the words and phrases in the box and know the meaning of them.
2.Let students read the passage again.Complete the email with the words in the box.

Work on 2b
1.T: Which club do you want to join Choose one club from 1b.Why do you want to join it
2.Let students write an email to the organizer(They can use the model in 2a) and encourage them to make their own passage.
Conclusion
Let students complete the mind map below and understand the main structure of a club application.

Step 3 Work on 3a
1.Let students work in groups and think of a club their groups would like to set up..
2.Choose two or three pairs to come to the front of the classroom,and share their ideas.
Step 4 Work on 3b
Let students work in groups and make a poster to find new members.
(The teacher gives students examples and tell them the key information the recruitment must include)
T:The poster must have the information:club name,what to do,time and place,who to contact with.
Step 5 Work on 3c
1.Let students interview their classmates to find new members for their club.
(Each group selects one representative to come to the front for recruitment promotion.They must use the sentence patterns in 3c.)
2.Ask students to pick one club they like and vote.The poster that gets the most votes wins.

Step 6 Homework
