一、教材分析
What: 本课时主要包含包含三个小对话,分别是三个学生参加不同社团招新活动的对话。语音部分任务1主要介绍了辅音音标/p/,/b/,/t/,/d/,/k/,/ɡ/,/f/,/v/,和辅音字母及字母组合的发这些音的规则,任务2主要介绍不完全爆破的发音特点。
Why: 通过本节课的学习帮助学生在应对招聘的场景下如何和别人打招呼,展现个人才能和需求,明确是否与自身相匹配。
How: 三组对话采用了基本相同的模式:首先,应招者向招募者打招呼并介绍自己,然后表达想加入社团的意愿;接着,招募者通过几个问题了解应招者的能力,自然融入情态动词can表示能力的用法;对话结束时,招募者宣布应招者能否加人社团。在第一个对话和第三个对话末尾,招募者还说明了社团活动的时间和地点。这三段对话主要呈现含有情态动词can的一般疑问句及其肯定、否定回答。
二、教学内容
1. 有关社团和特长等方面的词汇和句型。
2. 学习区分不同的社团和,运用情态动词can谈论加入不同社团需要的能力。
3. 发/p/,/b/,/t/,/d/,/k/,/ɡ/,/f/,/v/音的字母和字母组合以及不完全爆破的发音特点。
三、教学目标
【知识与技能】
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
join,choose,art club,music club,science club,chess club,drama club,ping pong club,play ping pong,play Chinese chess,read with feeling
2. 掌握下列句型:
How do you choose a school club
—Can you… —Yes,I can./No,I can't.
3. 学会互相询问或谈论自己或对方在某一方面的能力和特长;学会介绍社团的名称。

帮助学生激发对自己和他人能力的反思,以及如何在不同的社团环境中应用这些能力。培养学生的个人表达能力并提升他们的自信心。
四、教学重难点
重点:
1.学生能够清晰准确地说出自己想要加入的社团名称。
2.学生能够用正确的句子结构准确地描述他们能做什么和不能做什么。
难点:
1.学生能够区分不同社团之间的细微差别,避免混淆。
2.学生能准确运用“can”和“can’t”的各种句式,注意人称和时态的变化。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
利用图片或视频进行课程导入,提供几种不同的活动照片,如唱歌,游泳,下象棋,打乒乓球,引导学生对自己的兴趣爱好进行简单描述。学生可以根据提供的图片或视频内容,来描述自己的爱好和能力,从而导入新课。
T:Do you like singing
S:No, I don’t. I like dancing.
T:Can you dance well
S:Yes,I can....
【设计意图】以图片或视频的方式导入,让学生描述自己的爱好和能力,通过提问题使学生快速将注意力集中到本单时的主题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
Work on 1a.
1.Let students look at the pictures and match them with the clubs.
T:Look at the pictures in 1a. In what club can we do these things Please match the clubs with the pictures.
2.Let students share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.

Step 3 While-listensing
Work on 1b
1.Let students listen to the conversations,write down what club each student wants to join.

2.Let students share the answers and the teacher helps to correct their pronunciation if necessary.

1.Let students read the listening scripts and make a summary about the sentences related to abilities.

(The teacher shows key sentence patterns on the blackboard.)
2.Let students work in pairs,make up a new conversation using the key sentence patterns.
T:What club do you want to join What can you do Make up a conversation in pairs.One will be a club leader,and the other will be a student.You can use the sentence patterns on the blackboard.
3.Choose three or four pairs of students to share their conversations.

Step 5 Pronunciation
1. Work on 1
(1)Listen and conclude.
Play the pronunciation of the following words: park;cap;apple,let students repeat.
T: What pronunciation does these words have in common
Ss: They all have /p/.
T: Great. They all have /p/. Now, look at these words, do you know which words can pronounce /p/.
Ss: p;pp.
Conclude the other seven words’ pronunciation in the same way.
(2)Practice
Let students listen to the recording and repeat after the recording.

2. Work on 2
(1)Let students listen to the recording and mark the silent letters.
(2)Let students repeat after the recording.
(3)Ask some students to read the phrases and sentences. The teacher helps to correct their mistakes if necessary.
【设计意图】学生通过跟读音标及对应单词,有效地练习这四组清浊辅音的发音,理解不完全爆破现象。
Step 6 Homework
1.Ask students to introduce the club they want to join to their deskmates.
2.Do the exercises in students' workbooks.
