Recently, we have had a class discussion on whether cloning should be encouraged or banned and we have different opinions.
Some students think cloning should be encouraged because it represents the progress of science and technology. What's more, it will be beneficial to mankind. For example, if a couple can't have children, cloning can help them have a child, which is a blessing for them. Meanwhile, some endangered species will continue living with the help of cloning, which is crucial to preserving biodiversity.
However, others think cloning should be banned because it will break the balance of nature. Some scientists are bound to abuse cloning artificially for bad purposes. Besides, the technology is far from perfect. Some cloned animals will get ill easily and die young.
As far as I'm concerned, I am for cloning. Used properly, the technology may eventually free mankind from many kinds of suffering.

Getting rid of dirt, in the opinion of most people, is a good thing. However, there is nothing fixed about attitudes to dirt.
In the early 16th century, people thought that dirt on the skin was a means to block disease, as medical opinion had it that washing off dirt with hot water could open up the skin and let ills in. A particular danger was thought to lie in public baths. By 1538, the French king had closed the bath houses in his kingdom. So did the king of England in 1546. Thus, in a long time, the rich and the poor in Europe lived with dirt in a friendly way. Henry Ⅳ, the king of France, was famously dirty. Upon learning that a nobleman had taken a bath, the king ordered that, to avoid the attack of disease, the nobleman should not go out.
Though the belief in the merit of dirt was long-lived, dirt had no longer been regarded as a nice neighbor ever since the 18th century. Scientifically speaking, cleaning away dirt is good for health. Clean water supply and hand washing are practical means of preventing disease. Yet, it seems that standards of cleanliness have moved beyond science since World War Ⅱ. Advertisements repeatedly sell the idea: clothes need to be whiter than white. Has the hate for dirt, however, gone too far
Attitudes to dirt still differ hugely nowadays. Many first-time parents nervously try to warn their children off touching dirt, which might be responsible for the spread of disease. On the contrary, Mary Ruebush, an American immunologist(免疫学家), encourages children to play in the dirt to build up a strong immune system. And the latter position is gaining ground.
However, there is nothing fixed about attitudes to dirt.
In the early 16th century, people thought that dirt on the skin was a means to block disease, as medical opinion had it that washing off dirt with hot water could open up the skin and let ills in.
Though the belief in the merit of dirt was long-lived, dirt had no longer been regarded as a nice neighbor ever since the 18th century.
Attitudes to dirt still differ hugely nowadays.
1: People's opinions on dirt are changing over time
要点2:protect people from getting ills; People believed that it was dirt on the skin that could protect people from getting ills in the early 16th century
要点3:People have thought that washing dirt off our body could keep us healthy since the 18th century; however

One possible version:
With the fast pace of modern life, more and more people are living under great pressure, including middle school students. Is pressure good or bad for us Different people have different opinions.
Some students believe that pressure is a good thing. First, it can become motivation and encourage us to work harder than before. Second, proper pressure makes us more focused and we will make greater progress in study.
However, other students think that pressure is harmful. Excessive stress will damage our mental health and make us anxious. Furthermore, it does harm to our physical health. If the stress runs for a long time, some diseases may be caused.
In a word, proper pressure is good for us while excessive pressure is bad for us. We should try our best to adapt to the pressure and stay in a good mood.
