Many people have made great achievements despite disabilities, can you name some inspiring models?
张海迪,1955年9月16日出生,山东文登人,中国著名残疾人作家,哲学硕士。现任全国政协常委,中国残疾人联合会主席,中国作家协会委员,山东省作家协会副主席。五岁时因患脊髓血管瘤,高位截瘫。十五岁时随父母下放聊城莘县一个贫穷的小村子,为了学习医学知识,克服了残疾带来的种种困难。1983年开始文学创作,经过不懈的努力,成功的出版了如《轮椅上的梦》等著名小说。1983年3月7日,共青团中央在北京举行命名表彰大会,授予张海迪“优秀共青团员”称号。2017年6月19日,获国际残奥委会主席参选提名。2018年9月16日,担任中国残疾人联合会第七届主席团主席。
张海迪,5岁因患脊髓血管瘤导致终身截瘫。从那时起,张海迪开始了她独特的人生。她无法上学,便在家中自学完成中学课程。15岁时,张海迪跟随父母,下放(山东)聊城,给孩子当起了老师。她还自学针灸医术,为乡亲们无偿治疗。后来,张海迪还当过无线电修理工。她虽然没有机会走进校园学习,却发奋学习,学完了小学、中学的全部课程,自学了大学英语、日语和德语以及世界语,并攻读了大学和硕士研究生的课程。最终获得吉林大学哲学硕士学位。 1983年张海迪开始从事文学创作,先后翻译了数十万字的英语小说,编著了《生命的追问》、《轮椅上的梦》等书籍。其中《轮椅上的梦》在日本和韩国出版,而《生命的追问》出版不到半年,已重印4次,获得了全国“五个一工程”图书奖。
2002年,一部长达30万字的长篇小说《绝顶》问世。

Stricken by an illness at the age of 2, Keller was left blind and deaf. Beginning in 1887, Keller's teacher, Anne Sullivan, helped her make great progress with her ability to communicate, and Keller went on to college, graduating in 1904. During her lifetime, she received many honors in recognition of her accomplishments.
