第3课时 Section A Grammar Focus(3a-3c)
一、教学目标
1.能够正确理解和使用if条件句来谈论假设情况及相应结果。
2.学生通过观察、探究发现if条件句的句型结构特点和功能用法,总结归纳语法知识,提升思维的逻辑性和深刻性。
3.通过语法练习和对话实践,能运用所学的if条件句知识,准确完成匹配、填空等练习,提高语法运用和语言表达能力。
二、核心语言知识
1.核心词汇:
单词:
meeting;difficulty;line;seriously;training
短语:
have difficulty/difficulties in…;write down;right away;drop sb a line
2.核心句式:
(1)If you want to solve the problem,a face-to-face talk usually works the best.
(2)Texting can make things worse if you're not careful with your words.
(3)If the rehearsal ends at 7:00 p.m.,I'll pick you up at 7:15 p.m.
3.教学重难点:
(1)零条件句和第一条件句的结构(if从句+主句)及时态搭配。
(2)准确运用 “主将从现” 原则(主句用一般将来时,if从句用一般现在时)。

◆Step 1 Lead-in Prepare some common life situation cards in advance,such as “running late for a flight”“meeting a friend who didn't arrive on time” and “preparing for an exam but not bringing all the materials”.Divide the students into groups and have each group draw a card. Ask the groups to come up with a short situational dialogue in English that includes an if-clause within 3 minutes,and then perform it.After the performance,the other groups will guess the content of the situation card they draw. 通过观察学生在构思对话时对if条件状语从句的运用准确性、表演时的口语表达流畅度,给予相应鼓励和指导。
设计意图:通过这种方式,让学生在实践中初步运用if条件状语从句,同时激发他们的学习兴趣和口语表达能力。
◆Step 2 Presentation Work on 3a 1.The teacher divides these sentences into several groups and shows them on the PPT.Then ask the students to read them aloud and underline the conjunctions,clauses,and main sentences in the sentences. 2.The teacher guides the students to think about the usage of the if-clause. 3.The teacher guides the students to conclude the structure of the if-clause.Then ask the students the following questions: (1)When will we use the if-clause (2)What tenses are used in the main clause and the if-clause 通过观察学生是否能准确标注出连词、从句和主句,以及他们是否能正确回答if条件状语从句的用法和时态问题,评价他们对语法知识的理解程度和课堂参与度。

◆Step 3 Practice 1.Work on 3b Let students independently complete the sentence-matching exercise(3b).Then,invite several students to share their answers and explain the reasons for their choices,consolidating their understanding of the logical relationships in if-clauses. 2.Work on 3c First,have students independently complete the verb fill-in-the-blank exercise.Then,have them discuss the answers and the situations described in the sentences,as well as the intended audience of the information,within their groups.The teacher should circulate to provide guidance and then give a unified explanation at the end. 通过观察学生是否能准确完成句子匹配和动词填空,以及他们在分享和讨论中是否能够清晰表达逻辑关系和理解情景,评价他们对 if 条件状语从句的掌握程度和语言运用能力。

必做: 1.Recite the three basic structures of if-clauses,and write from memory the definitions and example sentences for each structure. 2.Provide 5 simple sentences and ask students to rewrite them using if-clauses,paying attention to the tense consistency between the main clause and the subordinate clause.For example: Original sentence:Study hard.You will pass the exam. Rewritten:If you study hard,you will pass the exam. 选做: Collect if-clauses from daily life(such as advertisements,movie lines,books,etc.),with at least 5 examples.Analyze the logical relationships they express and their functions,and organize them into a document.
教学反思
  在今天的课堂上,我们通过情景导入、语法讲解、结构呈现和练习巩固等环节,重点学习了if条件状语从句的用法和结构。学生们在情景对话表演中积极参与,大部分能够准确使用if从句,但少数学生在口语流利度和时态一致性上仍有困难。通过语法讲解和例句分析,学生对if从句的三种基本结构有了初步理解,但部分学生仍需更多练习和指导来巩固知识。
