Ⅰ. Warming-up and Lead-in
(1) Ask students to play a guessing game and guess who she is.
(2) Learn something about Mother’s Day and ask students to answer questions: What are you going to buy for your mother? or What are you going to do for your mother? .
(3) Show some pictures and lead in new words.
【设计思路和意图】(播放第1-14张幻灯片)首先通过玩猜谜游戏的方式调动学生学习的积极性,让学生围绕母亲节展开讨论;接下来通过展示生动形象的图片导入新单词,激发学生学习新单词的兴趣,降低掌握单词的难度。
Ⅱ. Listening
Step1 Listen and choose right answers
Tell students to listening skills.
Tell them to look through questions.
Ask students to listen the dialogue.
Call students to stand up and choose right
answers.
Check answers together.
Step2 Listen and answer questions
Divide students into 16 groups. Tell students:
From now on, The group getting the most score will be the winning group. The winning group will get my presents and they can send them to their mothers. And choose one student to write down points on the paper.
Tell students the group will get one point if
their answers are right.
Ask students to look through questions.
Ask them to listen to the first dialogue and
answer questions.
Call students to stand up and answer
questions.
Check answers together.
Step3 Listen and fill in the blanks
Tell students the group will get two points if
their answers are right.
Ask students to look through questions and
blanks.
Ask them to listen to the second dialogue and
fill in the blanks.
Call students to write on the whiteboard.
Check blanks together.

Ⅲ. Speaking
Step1 Ask and answer
Tell students to ask and answer in pairs and
if they get ready for it, come to the platform by themselves and speak out, the group will get three points.
Ask students to get ready for it.
Ask students who come to the platform firstly
to speak out.
Step2 Work in pairs and groups
(1) Tell students to read the first dialogue and
the group will get four points if they read
it.
(2) Tell students to pay attention to the
accent, sense-group and intonation.
(3) Ask students to get ready for it.
(4) Call students to read it.
(5) Tell students to read the second dialogue
and the group will get four points if they
read it.
(6) Ask students to get ready for it.
(7) Call students to read it.
Step3 Summary
(1) Tell students to find what the work says
together.
(2) Tell students to find what customers say
together.
(3) Tell students some sentences about
bargaining and to watch a video about bargaining .
Step4 Do role-play
(1)Tell students to work in groups and do
role-play, they will get five points.
(2)Tell students they can choose any one from
the following:
1. In the clothes shop2. In the fruit shop
3. In the book shop
4. In the stationery shop
(3) Ask students to get ready for it.
(4) Call students to act it out.

Ⅳ. Emotional sublimation
(1) Announce the winning group and send
presents with boxes to students.
(2) Ask students to open boxes and they will
find the boxes are empty.
(3)Tell students the boxes are full of love and
please do different things for their mothers to show the love.
(4)Ask students to watch a video about a song
called the woman in my life to show the
love of mothers and if they can sing, please sing together.

Ⅴ. Homework
Ask the winning group to help theirs mothers do different things to show the love. And ask others to help their mothers do some shopping and make a conversation about shopping.
【设计思路和意图】(播放第35张幻灯片)胜利的组课堂掌握得较好,所以只要求他们为妈妈做事去表达爱意。对于其他的学生,则要求他们帮妈妈购物并做一个关于购物的对话,以巩固课堂所学内容。
