一、学习目标
1、学习并掌握本单元的重要词汇及短语:?half, past, o’clock, to, art, geography, history, IT, math, PE, lesson, like, difficult, love, subject, because, interesting, talk.
2、能够借助past, half past,to等来正确表达时间。
3、能够听懂时间的表述方式及学校的科目。
4、能够谈论学校的课程及上课的时间。
二、学习重难点
重点:用past, half past,to等来表达时间,掌握各个学科的英文表达。
难点:能够谈论学校的课程及上课的时间。
三、教学准备
多媒体、课件、学科图片、时钟等。
四、教学过程
I. Warming up.
Look at a number (3).
T: What’s this??
S: It’s three.
Look at another number (10).
T: What’s this??
S:?It’s ten.
Add two points between the two numbers and make them become time.
T: What’s the time now? / What time is it? ?
S: It’s three ten.
Show different time and ask the students to guess how to read them.
通过以上例子,学生可总结出时间的读法:从左往右按顺序读。然后趁此机会接着问:时间的读法还有哪几种?激发学生的兴趣,引出本节课的内容。
II. Let’s conclude.
询问“现在是几点几分?”?的句型:What’s the time? / What time is it?
回答的句型为:It’s…
III、Let’s have a try.
Show some pictures of clocks and ask students to speak out the time in English as quickly as possible. Let’s see who is the quickest one.
(设计意图:通过展示带有不同时间的钟表的图片,以师生问答的形式来练习怎样询问和表述时间,然后师生共同总结时间的表达方式,然后再以抢答的形式来进行巩固训练,本活动的学习,为后面谈论学校的上课时间奠定基础。)
IV、Check the new words:
Show the pictures of the school subjects. (用幻灯片展示)
Students look at the pictures and say the names of the subjects.
(设计意图:以看图片说单词的形式检测学生对科目名称的词汇掌握情况,同时也为后面谈论学校课程奠定了基础。)
V. Free talk???
Talk about our school timetable(课程表).
运用句型“When do we have___? We have ____ at ____.”
A: when do we have…?
B: We have?…?at?…
A: Do you like …?
B: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
A: Why?
B: Because it’s interesting/ difficult/ …
(设计意图:学生用所给的课程表及自己手头上的课程表结合对话提示来谈论自己学校开设的课程及上课的时间,学生也可以不说出星期几,让其他的同学猜一下他们谈论的是哪一天。此活动有助于培养学生的综合语言运用能力,达到学以致用的目的。)
VI. Let’s design.
Design an ideal school day. Discuss first and then write down the main points. Ask some students to make a presentation in the front of the class. Make a report like this:
Today is … We have … lessons.
In the morning, we have … at … In the afternoon, we have … at…
We like … because … We don’t like … because …
…
(设计意图:此活动既有助于培养学生的口头语言表达能力,又可以锻炼他们的书面表达能力。)
