考点1 介词by的用法。
介词by可以用来表示方位、时间、手段等。
1.表示“通过……,以……的方式”, 后面常接 v.-ing形式。例如:
I practice speaking English by joining an English-language club.
我通过加入一个英语语言俱乐部来练习讲英语。
“by + v.-ing” 结构常用来回答“How do you... ”或“How can I... ”
之类的问题。例如:
—How do you learn English 你怎样学习英语呢?
—I learn English by reading aloud. 我通过大声朗读来学习英语。
2.表示位置,意思是“在……旁边”“靠近……”,有时可与beside互换。
例如:
The children are playing by (beside) the lake. 孩子们正在湖边玩。
3.表示交通方式,意为“乘坐”,后接表示交通工具的名词或与交通
工具密切相关的名词(如air, water, land, road等),在句中主要用作方
式状语。注意,这一结构中通常不用冠词或其他限定词。例如:
Jim often goes to work by bike. 吉姆常骑自行车上班。
4.表示时间,意思是“在……以前;不迟于……”。 例如:
My father will come back by 7:00. 我爸爸将在七点前回来。

考点2 由that, if, whether引导的宾语从句。
在复合句中用作宾语的从句叫宾语从句。连接宾语从句的从属连词
主要有that,if,whether和特殊疑问词(what, how, where, when等)。
1.that引导表示陈述的宾语从句。that在句中只起连接作用,不充当
句子成分,在非正式文体中常被省略。例如:
I hear (that) Professor Li is going to give us a talk. 我听说李
教授打算给我们做一个报告。
2.if和whether引导表示“是否”的一般疑问句的宾语从句。例如:
I’m not sure if/whether my brother will come back tomorrow. 我
不确定我的哥哥明天是否会回来。
注意:引导宾语从句时,if和whether一般情况下可以互换,但是当
与or not连用时,只能用whether。例如:
I don’t know whether Mary has got home or not. 我不知道玛丽是
否已经到家。
3.宾语从句的时态。
(1)如果主句是一般现在时,从句则根据具体情况用相应的时态。
例如:
I wonder if/whether you’ve received my email. 我想知道你是否已
经收到我的电子邮件了。
(2)如果主句是一般过去时,从句则只能用相应的过去时态
(一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、过去完成时)。例如:
I only knew she was studying in a Western country. 我只知道她
在一个西方国家读书。
(3)如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理、自然现象、公式、定理、
谚语、名人名言等,不管主句用哪种时态,从句要用一般现在时。例如:
Our teacher said that light travels faster than sound. 我们老师说光
比声音传播得快。

感叹句是表示喜怒哀乐等强烈情感的句子,一般由what和how引导。
1.由what引导的感叹句。
(1)What+a/an+形容词+单数可数名词+主语+谓语! 例如:

(2)What+形容词+可数名词复数或不可数名词+主语+谓语! 例如:
What nice music it is! 多美妙的音乐啊!
2.由how引导的感叹句。
