范文赏析
Para.1
“I want to be like Dad and I’m trying to make him proud,” Stanley said. “My dad and I used to clean the forest. But he died of cancer a few weeks ago. After that, I came here alone to clean it. Dad always told me I should keep our surroundings clean,” Stanley added. “You’re a good boy. I’m sure your father is proud of you,” Scott said. Feeling touched by the boy’s determination, Scott decided to do something for this poor kid. “I’ve got an idea to help e with me,” Scott said.
Para.2
Scott took Stanley to the principal’s office and told her what had happened. The principal felt sorry that Stanley had to go through so much, and she wanted to assist Stanley in carrying out his plan. A week later, Stanley’s school organized a competition for cleaning the abandoned forest and announced that the winning class would receive a prize. To everyone’s surprise, Stanley and his team finally won the competition! From that day on, Stanley’s classmates joined him in cleaning the forest and Stanley was not alone anymore.
