Telling China‘s Stories in Our English Speech Competition
With the theme of “Telling China‘s Stories in English”, our school
is holding an English Drama Festival.
The activity starts from Dec. 31st, 2021. Students take part in it actively. There are 10 plays in total, including stories from the Qin Dynasty to today’s China. Students write, direct, and act themselves. Their wonderful performances win applause and flowers.
The activity renews the traditional Chinese story and promotes the spread of China's culture and China's spirit. We are speaking to the world in our own voice.

Somehow, the memory of the summer camp for basic survival skills came flooding back. It occurred to him that when you are lost in the forest, you can follow a river and it will lead you to where people live. The idea kindled the light of hope. Scott decided to follow animal tracks to the river. Whenever he wanted to give up, he thought of his companions, which drove him to move on. After hours of hard work, he finally found it. With a sense of joy welling up in his heart, Scott speeded up the pace.

Stumbling(跌跌撞撞)along the river bank,Scott kept going until a village turned up. He was so excited that he smiled with tears. Villagers came up to him and asked what happened. With the help of the villagers, the rescue team arrived an hour later. They provided him with food,water,and medical aids. Seeing that everyone was safe, Scott smiled in relief. Deeply touched by the kindness he received, Scott expressed sincere gratitude to those helpers. Knowledge is power. As long as we keep calm and make good use of it, we can get out of trouble.
