My teenage life in senior high school has been a journey of discovery. At the beginning, I was nervous about making new friends and adapting to the new study environment. But soon, I found that the school was full of opportunities.
I joined the school debate club. The first meeting was both exciting and challenging. The club leader, a senior student, introduced the rules of debate and encouraged us to express our opinions freely. At first, I was afraid of speaking in front of others, but with the support of my teammates, I gradually became more confident.
We had debates on various topics, such as whether teenagers should be allowed to have part - time jobs and how to balance study and social life. Through these debates, I learned to think critically, organize my thoughts, and communicate effectively.
Besides the debate club, I also participated in volunteer activities organized by the school. We visited a local nursing home, chatting with the elderly and helping them with small tasks. These experiences made me realize the importance of giving back to society and caring for others.
Now, as I look back on my first term, I'm proud of how much I've grown. I've made good friends, developed new skills, and become more responsible. I'm excited for what the next term will bring and am ready to face new challenges in my teenage life.
