This year marks the 100th anniversary (周年纪念日) of the founding of the CYLC. The CYLC was born during the war and got over a lot of difficulties in the past century. I believe that most teenagers dream of being members. I sure do! Here are some qualities that I think a member should have.
First, a good member must be determined (坚定的) to follow the Party. As the reserve force of our Party, CYLC carries trust and expectation and represents the future of our nation. Its members are meant to be loyal to the Party. Second, when facing danger, its members should stay calm and brave. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, there was a girl called Liu Hulan. When enemies asked her about our secrets, she refused to tell them. In the end, she died for the revolution. She is a hero forever, and sets a good example for us. Finally, its members should be passionate (热诚的) and positive even when there are challenges ahead.
President Xi Jinping once said, “To accomplish (完成) our great mission (使命), we must always remain true to our original aspiration.” To be a good member of the CYLC in the future, I will stay on course. I will devote myself to our Chinese Dream, following the light of the CYLC.
