本单元的写作任务是写一篇个人简介。个人简介就是对个人的姓名、年龄、经历、特长、爱好及其他情况所做的简明扼要的书面介绍。
英语写作中的个人简介主要有两种。一种是单纯的自我介绍， 目的是告知对方一些个人信息；另一种个人简介是作为应用文写作的一部分，通过对个人的介绍来达到某种明确特定的目的，如申请某份工作，加入某个活动等，通常包括应聘信、申请信或个人介绍等，并且以第二种考查居多。对这种文章的写作需从以下几点入手：
1．介绍个人基本情况，主要包括姓名、年龄、爱好等；
2．陈述个人优势(知识面、语言水平、特长爱好等)；
3．提出写信目的，表达期望。
1．开头部分常用表达
