短臂男孩的逆袭之路·My name is John. My arms are shorter than others', but I never think I'm different. I don't think of myself as a “disabled” person because I feel like I can do anything I want. With the help of my parents, friends and a special program for young people with disabilities, I know how to fight for myself and how to be strong. That doesn't mean it is always a piece of cake. I had some bad experiences, such as the way people looked at me, although most people were friendly.
When I was three, my family moved to New York where there are first - class hospitals. I missed some school because of operations. I had to work harder than others.
When I went to the seventh grade, I recovered a lot more. I also made some friends and we had a great time together. As classes got harder, life became more difficult for me. I had to spend more time remembering things, taking notes and preparing for exams. Luckily, I never failed any exams.
