原因状语从句
如果从句表示的是主句行为的原因, 就构成原因状语从句。原因状语从句由表示原因的连词引导, 常用的是because, 一般放在主句之后，但加以强调时，可放句首。

原因、目的、结果状语从句
since因为; 既然。也可以用来引导原因状语从句, 表示显然的或已为人所知的理由。
e.g. Since everyone is here, let’s begin our party. (翻译)
既然大家都到齐了, 我们的聚会就开始吧。
目的状语从句
如果从句表示的是主句行为的目的, 该从句就是目的状语从句。目的状语从句可以由so that引导。特点：从句中通常有表示可能性的词语, 如will, would, can, could等。
e.g. *We got up very early so that we could catch the first
bus.
*Mulan dressed like a man so that she could join the

结果状语从句
结果状语从句由so引导, 表示由主句行为而导致的结果。

Tu Youyou is one of the most famous scientists in China. People call her the “Mother of Qinghaosu”.
She was born in Ningbo in 1930. She studied at Beijing Medical College from 1951 to 1955. She decided to find a treatment for malaria, so she worked as the leader of a research team in 1969. After failing more than 190 times, she discovered qinghaosu from a Chinese herb in 1972. Qinghaosu is very effective at fighting malaria. In 2015, she won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. In 2019, she received the title of “the Greatest Person of the 20th Century”.
Thanks to her discovery, qinghaosu has saved millions of lives. She is a true hero.
