教学内容
教学重点:引导学生了解陈述句、一般疑问句、特殊疑问句和选择疑问句等主要句型的语调差异,感知、探究和总结其变化规律。 教学难点:引导学生综合运用不同句型的语调变化规则谈论与地貌景观相关的话题,加深对自然的热爱之情和敬畏之心。
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in 1 Have students listen to the conversation in Part B on page 69 and pay attention to the speakers’ intonation. Then have students answer the following questions. How many types of intonation did you hear in the recording What are they Step 2 Reading and learning 2 Have students read the five types of sentences on page 75 and answer the following question. What intonation should we use when reading these different types of sentences 3 Have students compare the five types of sentences on page 75 and find the differences. Then have students answer the following question. What kind of intonation do we use in different types of sentences 4 Have students listen to the recording of each type of sentence on page 75 and read along. Pay attention to the differences. Step 3 Reading and practising 5 Have students practise reading the following conversation with the correct intonation. A: Do you know any famous rivers, Daniel B: Yes. I know the Yellow River. A: Can you tell me something about it B: It begins in the mountains of Qinghai and ends in the Bohai Sea. A: Wow! How amazing! B: Yes. It runs through many landscapes, like mountains, deserts and forests. A: What a long river! I can’t wait to visit it. 6 Have students finish Part A on page 75. Then have students listen to the conversation and check the answers. Step 4 Pair work 7 Have students work in pairs and discuss plans for a day out in nature, using the conversation in Part A on page 75 as a model. Have them pay attention to the intonation of each sentence. Homework Must do: Finish the Worksheet. Preview Integration on page 76. When we speak, our tone falls at the end of a statement.
