教学重点:引导学生认识和了解六种常见的地貌景观及其基本特征,鼓励学生与同伴谈论自己了解的地貌景观并举例进行说明。 教学难点:启发学生提取和归纳用于询问、描述和评价地貌景观及其特征的词汇和其他语言表达,运用相关词汇和其他语言表达,与同伴谈论自己了解的地貌景观并举例进行说明,初步表达对自然的热爱和敬畏之情。
教学过程
Step 1 Free talk 1 Have students look at the picture on page 68 and answer the following questions. What can you see in the picture And where can you see the landscape Did you see this landscape before Are you interested in it Step 2 About learning objectives 2 Have students read the unit overview on page 68 and answer the following question. What will we do in this unit Step 3 Knowing landscapes 3 Have students look at the six pictures in Part A on page 69 and answer the following questions. What can you see in the pictures How much do you know about them 4 Have students finish Part A. Have students listen to the introductions in Part A and complete the notes. Have students answer the following questions. Do you know any examples of these landscapes What do you know about them Step 4 Discussing landscapes 5 Have students listen to Jenny and Daniel’s conversation in Part B on page 69 and complete the following table. 6 Have students read Jenny and Daniel’s conversation and answer more questions about the Yangtze River. What does Jenny say about the river Where does the Yangtze River rise Where does the Yangtze River run Then have students share their own ideas about the Yangtze River and answer the following question. What do you think of the river
7 Have students introduce the Yangtze River to their partners. 8 Have students listen to the recording and read along, and then read in different roles. Give explanations if necessary. Step 5 Exploring more about landscapes 9 Have students work in pairs and discuss what they know about different kinds of landscapes using the conversation in Part B as a model. 10 Have students work in groups and finish Part C on page 69 with the help of the table below. 11 (Optional) Have students find more examples for each landscape in books or on the internet after class. Homework Must do: Finish the Worksheet. Preview Reading on P70. Choose to do: Watch the documentary series Aerial China to find out more about examples for each landscape and feel the beauty of our country.(共18张PPT)
