教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够: 1.借助图片和文本,获取、识记和理解描述动物的词汇和语言表达; 2.借助对话和音频,获取并梳理关于动物的信息,提取和归纳介绍动物、表达自我感受的词汇和语言表达; 3.运用相关词汇和语言表达,开展同伴问答活动,相互交流自己熟悉的动物知识并表达感受。
教学内容
教学重点:学习四种动物的基本情况,和同伴分享彼此了解的动物趣味知识。 教学难点:介绍动物(名称、外形特征、生活习性和特殊本领等)。
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in Have students talk about their friends. Do you have friends Who are they Do you have an animal friend What is it Have students look at the picture on page 56 and answer the following questions. What animals can you see in the picture Which animal do you like best Why Have students read the unit overview on page 56 and answer the following question. What will we do in this unit Step 2 Read and match Have students look at the four pictures in Part A on page 57 and tell what animals they are and what they are doing. Then have students read the fun facts about animals in Part A and do the exercises. Step 3 Listen, read and talk Have students listen to Millie and Simon’s conversation in Part B on page 57 and complete the table. Have students read the conversation in Part B and find out the expressions that show the speaker’s feelings. Then have students read the tip in Part B and explain why the expressions are used. Have students come up with more expressions to show one’s feelings. Have students listen to the recording and read along, and then read in different roles. Have students work in pairs and talk about the animal facts they know, using Millie and Simon’s conversation as a model. Step 4 Watch and discuss Have students work in groups, interview their group members using the question in Part C on page 57 and then complete the table below. NameLooksFun fact(s)
