用法总结 arrival作名词,意为“到达”,由“arrive去e+al(名词后缀)”构成。例如:
My pen friend’s arrival was a surprise to me. 我笔友的到来让我大吃一惊。
知识拓展 arrival的动词形式为arrive,意为“到达”。其常见搭配如下:
若加地点名词,其后要加介词in或at in后接大地点(如城市或国家等) They arrived in Beijing last night. 他们昨晚抵达了北京。

用法总结 borrow作动词,意为“借”,表示借进某物。其常见搭配:borrow sth from sb/somewhere,意为“向某人/从某地借某物”。例如:
I borrowed a book from the library yesterday. 我昨天从图书馆借了一本书。

1.borrow的反义词是lend,意为“借出”。其常见搭配:lend sb sth=lend sth to sb,意为“借给某人某物”。
2.辨析borrow、 lend与keep
borrow 借进 非延续性动词,强调以主语为中心,主语从别人那里把东西借进来
lend 借出 非延续性动词,强调主语把自己的东西借出去
keep 保存 延续性动词,可与一段时间连用,强调借多久
例如:
