教材分析 This is a listening and speaking lesson.This lesson is from junior English of PEP,Unit1 How can we become good learners Section A(1a-1c),book of Grade 9.It mainly talks about how to study English.After learning this lesson,students can communicate with their partners and their listening and speaking skills can be improved.
学习目标 1.Language ability:(1)Students can understand the meaning of the new word“textbook”and the phrases about leaning skills and the sentence structure“-How do you study English -I study by…”.(2)Students can understand the listening material.2.Learning ability:Students can improve their listening and speaking skills and cooperate with others.3.Thinking quality:Cultivate students’ logical thinking ability.4.Cultural awareness:Students can understand some different learning ways between Chinese and foreign teenagers.

导入新课 Play a video about a girl’s learning story and ask students“How many learning ways does the girl have in the video ”“How do you study English ” Watch the video and answer teacher’s questions. Arouse students’ learning interest and lead in today’s lesson.
讲授新课 1a. 1.lead students to look at the picture in 1a,and ask them“How do the students study English ”2.Teach students to read the phrases about the ways to study English and tell the usage of“by”in 1a .3.Ask students to finish the task in 1a and then present the possible answers:Answers:keeping a diary in English,doing grammar exercises… 1b.1.Prediction1.Lead students to predict the listening content and ask“What are Meiping,Peter and Tony sdudying for ”“How do these students study for a tests ” 2.Listening play the recording and ask students to finish the task in 1b,then check the answers with students.Answers:1.b 2.e 3.d1c.pair work1.lead students to read the conversation in 1c and help students understand the meaning of the conversation.2.Encourage students to make a conversation like this:A:How do you study for a test B:I study by working with a group. 1.Give the answers to“How do the students study English ”under the teacher’s guidance.2.Read the phrases after the teacher.3.Do the exercises in 1a.1.predict the listening content with the help of the teacher. 2.Listen and write the letters from 1a above.Read the conversation in 1c and make a conversation by using the sentence structure“-How do you study for a test -I study by+v.ing.” Let students understand the phrases about the ways to study English and tell the usage of“by”in 1a.1.Improve students’ predicting ability,and lower their listening difficulties.2.Improve students’ listening ability.Improve students’ oral English.
