【教学重点】
(1)学生能够表演Let’s talk,能够根据实际情况用英语讨论人物的外貌和性格特征。
(2)学生能掌握描述外貌和品质特征的形容词:polite, helpful, clever和shy等。
【教学难点】
学生能准确运用句型“What’s he/she like He’s / She’s ...”来问答人物外貌和品质特征。
【教学方法】
任务型教学法、合作教学法、交际法、游戏教学法。
【课前准备】
单词卡片、多媒体PPT。

【教学过程】
一、Warming up and Revision
1. Greetings.
T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you.
Ss: Nice to meet you, too.
T: How are you
Ss: I am fine. Thank you. How are you
T: I am fine, too.
2. Let’s sing.
教师放歌曲 “Who’s your teacher ” 师生一起演唱。让学生在听英语歌曲中感知本单元的重点句型和核心词汇。 21·cn·jy·com
3. Play a game — “Sharp Eyes”:
通过游戏复习学过的描述外貌和品质特征的形容词,如kind, strict, old, young等。
4. Look and say.
教师通过PPT出示图片,让学生复习描述外貌和品质特征的形容词和句型。
二、Presentation
1. Let’s try.
(1)教师出示Let’s try内容,询问“Who is she ”,在学生猜测后引入人物Ms Wang。
(2)教师继续提问:“Wh ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )at’s Ms Wang like Is Ms Wang quiet, friendly or funny ”,学生看着题目并自由回答。www.21-cn-jy.com
(3)播放录音,让学生完成:Listen and tick。
(4)解决单词:quiet和friendly。
2. Let’s talk.
(1)出示课文插图,介绍人物。Q1: What can you see in the picture Q2: Who are they
Q2: Where are they 教师引导学生看图回答问题。
(2)教师提问:Who will be their new Chinese teacher 后播放动画。
学生看动画后回答问题:Ms Wang。
(3)教师提出问题:What’s Ms Wang like 后播放动画。
学生看动画后回答问题:She’s kind and strict.
(4)让学生在课文中划出描述Ms Wang性格特征的句子。
(5)教师指着Ms Wang 的图片问:How does Chen Jie’s know Ms Wang
引导学生在文中划出She is Chen Jie’s mother.
(6)解读文本,突破重难点。如:讲解will的意思;What’s Ms Wang like 的用法。
(7)听录音,跟读。模仿语音语调。
(8)齐读文章。
(9)Role play角色扮演,Pair work. 两人小组练习对话。并根据情况挑选几组学生上来汇报。2·1·c·n·j·y

(1)(PPT出现learn部分的图片)T: Look at this picture. Who are they

(3)呈现对话内容,整体跟读录音,模仿语音语调。
(4)学生同桌间进行对话。
2. Match and say
(1)教师在PPT出示该部分插图,引导学生口头描述图片的内容。
(2)学生连线后用句型“What’s he/she like He’s / She’s ...”描述图中的人物特征。
(3)讲解 be动词am is are的用法。
3. Read and write
(1)出示课文插图,介绍人物。Q1: What can you see in the picture Q2: Who are they
提问教学单词robot。
(2)教师继续提问:What’s the robot’s name Who made it 学生听录音回答问题,并在
文本画出答案。
