主题
本单元以“了解自己”为主题，学生要学会用英文介绍自己，描述自己的外表、性格、价值观等。
示例
假如你叫李华，你最近新交的笔友 Mary 非常想了解你，发来邮件向你提了一些问题，请你给她写一封不少于 100 词的回信介绍你自己。Mary的问题如下：
· What do you look like
· What's your personality like
· What do you usually do in your free time And how often
· What do you think of different TVshows
主题分析与指导
1.本文是一篇书信；介绍自己的外貌、性格、喜好等情况，时态用一般现在时；以第一人称为主。
2.写作思路：
(1)开头(引出主题)：很高兴收到对方的来信，愿意向对方介绍自己
(2)主体(详述内容)：
①外貌：头发长短、身高等较明显的特征；
②个性：外向/内向、友善的、聪明的等；
③兴趣爱好：读书、运动、唱歌等；
④对不同电视节目的看法：喜欢看新闻，了解时事；喜欢看喜剧，丰富课余生活；不喜欢肥皂剧，耽误时间等。
(3)结尾(总结全文)：希望对方能通过这封信更加了解自己，加深彼此的友谊。
3.好词佳句：
(1) medium(中等的), average(平均的),meaningless(毫无意义的), relax(放松), twice a week(一周两次), more… than(比……更),good at(擅长), one of the most+ adj.+n.(最……的……之一), look like(看起来像), learnfrom(向……学习), is a good way to…(是……的好方法)
(2)开篇:I'd love to/I'm very glad to tell you more about myself.
主体:①I am of medium height with short black hair./I'm of average height for my age,and I have long straight hair.
I look serious, but I actually smile a lot.
②I am more outgoing and friendly than most people./I'm quiet and can be a little shy in front of big crowds.
③I enjoy cycling./I like reading books./ One of my favourite things to do in my free time is playing basketball./I am interested in dancing a lot.
④I find documentaries more interesting than reality shows./I love educational programs like documentaries because…/I'm not a fan of reality shows, I think they' re a bit boring.
结尾:I hope this gives you a better idea/ tells you more about me./I hope this gives you a clearer picture of who I am./ Now you know a bit more about me!

I am of medium height with short black hair and Ioften wear glasses. My friends say I am more outgoing and friendly than most people. I enjoy reading books in my free time and usually spend weekends at the library. I play basketball with my friends twice a week,which is one of the most exciting activities for me.
Regarding TV shows, I find documentaries more interesting than reality shows because I learn a lot from them. I don't like watching soap operas now because Ithink they are boring and meaningless.
I hope this gives you a better idea about me.
