Setting We were taken into the underwater ship.
Characters I, Ned, Conseil, and two seamen.

Write a continuation of The Last Leaf
Para.1.Tears came to Johnsy's eyes as she knew what Mr Behrman had done for her.
Q1: What were her feelings
Q2: What did she do
Q3: What would she say to Mr Behrman
Para.2.Ten years later, Johnsy became a famous painter due to her dedication and hard work.
Q1: What would she do when she realized her dream
Q2: How did she feel when she remembered the past
Q3: What was Mr Behrman's influence on her paintings

Ten years later, Johnsy became a famous painter due to her dedication and hard work.Inspired by Behrman's faith in her and his sacrifice, Johnsy threw herself into her art with vigor. While she was proud of her accomplishments, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness that Behrman didn't live to see the fruits of his sacrifice.Johnsy's paintings often capture themes of sacrifice, perseverance and the strength of the human spirit, all of which are deeply influenced by Behrman's lasting impact on her life.(共69张PPT)

However, there was hardly any chance that Carol's family moved to the city as they had everything in the village.
One day, Carol fell asleep during the early noon and she had a sound sleep.Of course, she had a strange dream. She saw her grandmother in her dream as a fairy and her deceased grandmother granted her a wish.Carol requested her that she should love to enjoy the city life as she always desired.
Grandmother understood the desire of Carol, but still wanted to convince her that the peaceful village life is better than the city life.
She told Carol, “Baby, you cannot have access to fresh fruits and vegetables from plants as you have at your home. You cannot breathe fresh air.You cannot play with animals. You can hardly find any trees. You will not find peace as you see here! Do you still want to go to the city?”

She could hardly find any animal or even a tree.Carol's brother Rob was calling her for lunch and Carol woke up.She recalled what happened just now in her dream and realized that her life in the village with her family was far more wonderful than the city life.Carol understood that she was having a more joyful life.
In 1999, Rebecca Constantino began doing a study at schools across Los Angeles. She had just completed a PhD in Language, Literacy and Learning, and she was analyzing children's access to books in wealthy and low-income communities.
One day, she saw something that stopped her in her tracks.“I was at a school in a wealthy community, and they were getting rid of almost brand-new books because they didn't have room in the library,” said Constantino. She put the books in her car and drove them to a school in an underserved community.
Shocked by the difference she saw in public school libraries, Constantino became determined to bridge the gap.“School libraries are not funded well, and sometimes not funded at all,” said Constantino.“If you're a child in an underserved community, you're left with boring, outdated, and uninteresting books.”
The word about Constantino's work was spread, and books began piling up.Today, her nonprofit organization, Access Books, has provided more than 1.5 million books to public-school and community libraries across California. The group has also redecorated close to 350 libraries in public schools and homeless shelters.
Constantino recruits (招募) volunteers who work alongside the community to create a warm, vibrant (充满生机的) and welcoming library space.Students and their families, as well as school staff and teachers, come together to join in.“We're working together. It's not a gift; it's a partnership. It really builds a sense of community,” said Constantino.
In addition to book donations and refurbishing (再装修) libraries, the group offers author visits with schools and holds an annual writers conference for kids.Constantino said, “If we provide high-interest books and a beautiful library space, they do come and they do read.We found that in the schools that we serve, the number of books borrowed increases significantly after our coming.
So we know that kids are really interested in the books that we give.My goal is that kids can always have a friend in a book and they can always turn to a book to find comfort and to learn something.”

She told Carol, “Baby, you cannot have access to fresh fruits and vegetables from plants as you have at your home. You cannot breathe fresh air.You cannot play with animals. You can hardly find any trees. You will not find peace as you see here! Do you still want to go to the city?”

In 1999, Rebecca Constantino began doing a study at schools across Los Angeles. She had just completed a PhD in Language, Literacy and Learning, and she was analyzing children's access to books in wealthy and low income communities.
One day, she saw something that stopped her in her tracks.“I was at a school in a wealthy community, and they were getting rid of almost brand new books because they didn't have room in the library,” said Constantino.
The word about Constantino's work was spread, and books began piling up.Today, her nonprofit organization, Access Books, has provided more than 1.5 million books to public school and community libraries across California.
In addition to book donations and refurbishing (再装修) libraries, the group offers author visits with schools and holds an annual writers conference for kids.Constantino said, “If we provide high interest books and a beautiful library space, they do come and they do read.We found that in the schools that we serve, the number of books borrowed increases significantly after our coming. So we know that kids are really interested in the books that we give.My goal is that kids can always have a friend in a book and they can always turn to a book to find comfort and to learn something.”

2.How did Constantino bridge the gap
A.By obtaining donated books.
B.By raising money on the street.
C.By founding a profitable organization.
D.By getting support from the local government.

As the golden age of poems, the Tang Dynasty produced many outstanding poets, among whom Li Bai, Du Fu, and Bai Juyi were the most well known in history. When it comes to poems, you'd better grasp the meaning firstly, and then try to recite the whole poem.If you choose the right method and work hard, your learning ability can be improved.
