三、 阅读理解。(每小题2分,共30分)
(一) 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳答案。
A(2025扬州高邮期末)
From “eating dazi” to “working out dazi” to “traveling dazi”, a new social trend(趋势) is taking off in China among young people. Dazi often refers to “side by side” or just “activity partner” in Chinese. It means people find new ways to connect with others and share their hobbies.
Dazi makes social life easier and more comfortable. Unlike traditional friends who often need to hang out with each other and keep in close contact, a dazi is a more relaxed social partner. Getting along with a dazi means one doesn't have to accommodate(迁就) the other because of different interests and hobbies, which will greatly reduce social costs.
In China, many young people are turning to dazi relationships to deal with their busy lives. Dazi is a quick and convenient way to socialize(社交) without a long term promise. It provides a way for young people to build social connections and fight against loneliness, without needing to care too much about each other like in close relationships. Moreover, social media makes it easy to find people with shared interests for certain activities.
However, finding a dazi often comes with some hazards. This includes meeting strangers in person, which can put you at risk of harm. So be careful when meeting an online dazi. To stay safe, always meet your online dazi in public and let someone know where you are going.
A short term friendship formed through dazi can probably turn into a long term relationship. While a dazi relationship is typically started for a certain activity, shared experiences and interests can lead to a deeper connection over time. If both parties are willing to spend time and effort developing a stronger relationship, it is possible for the friendship to become a long term relationship. However, it's important to respect each other's personal space when building a relationship, without getting too involved or crossing any lines.
1. Compared(对比) with a traditional friend, a dazi ________.
A. takes more time to get along with
B. is often based on a long term relationship
C. makes social life easier and more relaxed
D. requires a higher level of emotional support
2. What is Paragraph 3 mainly about
A. Reasons for building a dazi relationship.
B. Ways to find people with the same interests.
C. The importance of developing a close friendship.
D. The role of socializing in fighting against loneliness.
3. What does the underlined word “hazards” in Paragraph 4 probably mean
A. Efforts. B. Dangers.
C. Surprises. D. Disagreements.
4. What does the author think of a dazi relationship
A. It can turn into a strong friendship.
B. It is more suitable for outgoing people.
C. It often starts with respecting each other.
D. It helps deepen connections with old friends.
5. Which is the best title for the passage
A. A New Way to Join in Activities B. Tips for Finding a Dazi Online
C. The Art of Making Friends D. The Rise of Dazi Culture
B(2025泰州兴化月考)
①On the first day of school, our teacher introduced himself and challenged(要求) us to get to know someone new. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned round to find an old lady looking up at me with a smile. She said, “Hi, Handsome! I'm Rose. I'm 87 years old. Can I give you a hug?” I laughed, “Of course!” “Why are you in college at such a ‘young’ age?” I asked. She jokingly replied, “I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married(结婚), have children and then travel around.” “Are you serious?” I asked. I wondered why she challenged herself to such a thing at this age. “I always dreamt of having a college education, and now I'm getting one,” she told me. This was our first time to meet, however, she impressed me with her humour and dream.
②During the next period of our college education, lots of interesting and meaningful things happened to us, especially her unforgettable speech. We became friends quickly and we all liked the special friend. Wherever she went, she was popular among young students. She loved to talk with us and enjoyed all the attention from others. Listening to this human “time machine” was so interesting, when she shared her years of wisdom and experience with us.
③We also learnt a lot from her speech. At the end of the term, we invited Rose to speak at a meeting. We'll never forget what she told us. “We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only a few secrets of staying young. You have to laugh and find humour every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die,” she said.
④“There is a big difference between growing older and growing up. Anybody can grow older. That doesn't need any talent(才能) or ability,” she added. “But growing up requires finding the chance in change. Have no regrets(遗憾). People usually don't have regrets for what they did, but for things they did not do.” Her words always show us the bright way to our future.
⑤At the year's end, Rose finished the college education she had begun all those years ago. One week later, Rose died peacefully in her sleep.
6. Why did Rose challenge herself to go to college at such a “young” age
A. Because she wanted to meet a rich husband and get married.
B. Because she enjoyed staying with young people.
C. Because she wanted to realize her dream.
D. Because she planned to share her wisdom and experience with young people.
7. According to the passage, which of the following words can NOT describe the old lady
A. Humorous. B. Hard working. C. Brave. D. Handsome.
8. What is the correct order of the following events
a. Rose explained why she went to college.
b. Rose gave an inspiring(鼓舞人心的) speech.
c. Rose finished college.
d. Rose introduced herself to the writer.
e. Rose died in her sleep.
A. dacbe B. dabce C. adbce D. adcbe
9. What can we learn from Rose's speech
A. The more you laugh, the younger you will be.
B. Dreams can help people stay young.
C. If we have no talents or abilities, we won't grow old.
D. Old people seldom have regrets.
10. Which is the best structure of the passage
A. ①/②③④/⑤ B. ①②③/④/⑤
C. ①/②③/④⑤ D. ①/②/③④⑤

(2024盐城)I'm Patrick McCarthy, and you can call me Pat. This is the space where I can help you with your daily life problems. Go ahead and ask away!
Dear Patrick, Every time I look through my phone, I see someone having the time of their life. When I miss out on something fun or important that my friends are experiencing, I feel worried. How can I avoid this Sarah
Hi! Sarah, This is a big reason why so many people worry about social media's influence on teenagers. Feeling worried and lonely as a result of looking through your phone is quite normal, even if it is unhealthy. Quite a lot of people post their pictures or videos on social media. Most of them share the best parts of their lives. You must keep in mind that they do so to share good feelings with others. It's hard to find people sharing their bad moments, like feeling stressed about their home life or shame after failing a test. If seeing these videos and photos still causes bad feelings, stop connecting for a while. Do something that makes you pleased and relaxed. Try to read or spend some time with your family. You don't need to impress anyone else. Pat

Hello,_boys_and_girls!_Stress_is_a_serious_problem_in_today's_world._
Most students are under much pressure. Some can't get on well with their classmates, while others have much homework. I'm always under pressure, too. My parents wanted me to be the top student in class and sent me to all kinds of after school classes at weekends.
To reduce stress, you can talk with your friends or parents directly. Besides, you can learn from some superheroes because they are so tough. Moreover, You can use colour therapy to relieve your stress. Last Monday evening, I had a talk with my mother. I told her I really felt tired and needed time to relax. My mother agreed with me at last.
Hope my suggestions can be of some help to you. That's all. Thank you!
