Most animals live in a special place or habitat(栖息地). They get everything they need to live from their living places. Animals have different physical features(身体特征). They help them live better. Let’s have a look at how these animals live.
The Polar Bear
The polar bears live in the Arctic(北极). It’s easy for them to find the food—seals.
The polar bear has long and stiff hairs on its feet. With these hairs, they won’t be easy to fall down on the ice. These hairs also keep the bear’s feet warm on the cold ice.
The Maned Wolf
The maned wolf is not really a wolf, but is part of the same family as dogs, wolves and foxes.

第二节 人与自我(生活与学习) | 记叙文 | 词数: 262+62 | 难度:★★★★ | 建议用时:9 min | 答案册:P54
Long, long ago, there lived in Greece a learned man. He was so famous for his wide knowledge of almost everything that lots of people from all over the country came to learn things from him. The great man taught his students whole-heartedly and answered their questions with great patience(耐心).
One day a student asked him, “My dear teacher, didn’t you say you yourself have many, many more questions about things than we do But I think we students have far more than you.”
With a smile on his face, the teacher drew two circles, one as large as a big wheel, the other smaller. Then he said, “Of course, I’ve learned much more. But it’s wrong to think that a teacher has fewer questions than his students. Now, look at these two circles. The inside of the bigger one is my knowledge of things, and the inside of the smaller one is yours. Out of the circles is what is still unknown to us. Since mine is larger, I have to use the longer line to draw the bigger circle. That means I have more chances to face what is still unknown. And that’s why I myself have more questions than you do. The more you learn, the more questions you have. You will never learn enough, you know.”
So, there is no limit(限制) to knowledge. Whether the old or the young, everybody needs to learn every day. You have no right to be pleased with yourself, even though you are the first in your class or your school.
根据短文内容,判断下列句子正(T)误(F)。
( ) 1. The learned man was famous all over the world and respected by all the people.
( ) 2. The teacher drew two circles to explain the student’s question.
( ) 3. The smaller circle stood for the teacher’s knowledge.
( ) 4. The teacher thought when a person learned enough, he would have no questions.
( ) 5. From the passage, we know that it’s never too old to learn.
