本句中“ how to increase my reading speed 为”疑问词+动词不定式“结构,在句中作know的宾语。疑问代词who,what,which 等和疑问副词when,where,how等后面跟不定式,构成
“疑问词+动词不定式”结构。这种结构在句中可作主语、宾语、表语等,作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。

increase 还可作名词, 意为“增长;增多”。作可数名词时,其前如果用冠词则用an。
There was an increase in the population of our country.
我们国家的人口增长了。
increase by “增长了”,后接百分比或分数。
increase to “增长到”,后接具体数字。
increase 作动词常用结构:
e.g. The hit of the video increased to 2 million. Compared with yesterday, it increased by 10 % .

speed n. 速度 常用结构:
① speed up 加快速度 ② at a/ the speed of...以……的速度
③ at high/ low speed以高速/ 低速 ④ speed limit 最高车速限制
e.g. Safety is more important than speed. 安全比速度更重要。
Please drive at a speed of forty miles an hour.
请以每小时40 英里的速度驾驶。
We’d better speed up if we want to get there on time.
