一、译林版(2020)
1.Tchaikovsky, a famous Russian composer of the late-Romantic period, was born on 7 May 1840 in the mountains of western Russia. He was the first Russian composer whose music made a lasting impression internationally. Tchaikovsky’s training set him on a path to combine what he had learned with the native musical practices to which he had been exposed from childhood. He first helped write a song in 1844, at an age when most children are still in kindergarten. At home, his mother sang folk songs, which helped develop his interest in music. Mozart was Tchaikovsky’s favourite composer and he influenced Tchaikovsky’s life and work. For 11 years, beginning in 1866, Tchaikovsky taught at the Moscow School of Music. During his time there, he wrote music for the piano, along with ballets, operas and symphonies. He was famous for writing the music for the ballet Swan Lake in 1876. Because of his musical talent, Tchaikovsky toured many countries as a conductor, including a voyage to the USA in 1891. He continued to write for the ballet until his death in Saint Petersburg in 1893.

On the subway in Beijing, most people stare at their smart phones. Some play video games or watch TV dramas, while some choose to read.
Online novels are popular among these readers. In fact, more people are becoming registered users on online literature websites or smart phone applications. The total number of online literature website users had increased to over 500 million by the end of November 2018, according to a report from China Internet Network Information Center. This shows half of all netizens are online literature readers.
Many scholars estimate the number will keep increasing at an annual rate of tens of millions. Yet the fast growth due to the widespread adoption of the Internet and smart phones in the past 20 years was criticized by some writers as disorder. As the number of online literature works increases, some vulgar (低俗的)online novels have appeared. Ning Ken, the top prize winner of the First Online Literature Contest, said online literature needs guidance. "I think it should be something of high quality, rather than just a sort of entertainment. Its quality should be improved," said the writer.

Working Out Worries by Writing
After his father was driven to the hospital for emergent treatment, 43-year-old Yanatha Desouvre began to panic. So, he did one thing that he knew would calm himself: He wrote. Over the next few weeks, Desouvre filled several notebooks, writing about his worry as well as his happy memories with his dad. “Writing allowed me to face my fear and process my pain,” he says. Psychologists refer to that kind of writing as “expressive writing”. People do it by recording their deepest thoughts and feelings. However, different from writing in a journal, expressive writing is to reflect honestly and thoughtfully on a particular frustration or challenge.
A well-known psychology professor says that hundreds of studies have looked at the potential benefits of expressive writing and found it can help reduce pain and improve mood, sleep and memory. It may even help reduce symptoms of various illnesses, and prevent colds and flu.
Expressive writing takes effect because translating a painful experience into language allows people to make meaning out of it, some experts say. The process forces them to organize their thoughts and offers a sense of control, thus completing the pursuit of value from such an experience. Another research suggested that during expressive writing, the act of labeling a feeling can lessen the activity relating to nerves in the threat area of the brain. With these nerves relaxed, people can lower the symptoms of their diseases, enhance their appreciation for life, and increase the acceptance of various experiences in their lives.
What can’t be ignored is that it shouldn’t be used as a replacement for other medical treatments. And people coping with a severe depression may not find it useful to do on their own, without therapy. Yet, it can be a powerful coping tool for many, in large part because it helps battle against their reluctance to face negative emotions.

12.请阅读下面短文,并按照要求用英语写一篇150词左右的文章。
Film and television adaptations of classic literature works have held a long-standing appeal for audiences, reshaping our cultural landscape.
In 2017, a nine-episode TV adaptation of Chinese literature classic, The Dream of the Red Mansion, featured young cast aged 6-12 portraying the characters vividly and won applause among faithful readers of this classic work. To them, these young performers have brought the characters alive again. “I was impressed by their perfect acting in the TV series. I never expected they could play so well. It is as good as the 1987 TV adaptation,” a Douban user commented. Before the shooting of the 1987 TV version, all the actors and actresses received systematic acting training and guided studyt of the original work. This time, Ouyang Fenqiang, who played the leading role, Jia Baoyu, in the 1987 version, was invited to instruct the young performers.
However, this is only one of the very few cases of being faithful to the original literature. Recent years have witnessed a large number of poor-quality film and TV adaptations of literature classics, spoiling the understanding of the original work. Whether classic literature works should be adapted into film or TV series is worthy of discussion.

14.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
My writing journey began when I was a little girl of four. I wrote a story about a native American girl named White Lily as she and her family prepared to travel to their winter camping grounds. From that one-page short story, I continued writing as I grew older, filling notebook after notebook with tales of fantastic kingdoms, thrilling journeys to the stars, and tales of noble heroes who faced deadly groups of enemies. But sometimes, inspiration would fail me—I’d find myself staring at an empty page, and the words wouldn’t come no matter how hard I tried.
Being home educated, my awesome teacher was my mom. She gave me the freedom to explore different forms of writing and practice my skills. And when I hit a brick wall one day, I asked her how on earth to overcome the terrible curse (诅咒) of writer’s block.
She had a unique way. “You just need to write a stump (树桩) story!” she declared. “That’s what to do when you get stumped.”
“What should it be about ” I asked her, my eyes wide.
“Why, a STUMP, of course!”
I was puzzled. Why on earth would writing a story about an actual stump help me work out which heroic adventure I should write about next I stormed out of the room, and grabbed my notebook. Pencil in hand, I was angry as I stared at that teasing, empty page. Rolling my eyes, I eventually gave in. “At least this is easier than writing a long and complex ad venture story,” I thought to myself. And I wrote a very short story about an actual stump in the forest.
After writing that boring but inspiring story, I felt better. I had a much clearer idea of what to write. So I began to write a story about a brave prince and his little sister who got into trouble more often than not.
注意:1. 写作词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
I kept writing on the wonderful afternoon.

15.Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point(s) of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible.
Publishers are rewriting classics
Recent arguments have arisen as British publishers changed Roald Dahl’s children’s books and Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels to remove language seen as offensive (犯忌的) today. Days after Puffin Books faced criticism for editing Dahl’s works, reports showed Fleming’s team also made careful checks before reissuing Bond books. Both authors’ works included problematic terms —Dahl’s books had unfair comments on race, gender, and mental health, while Fleming’s stories used old-fashioned descriptions of people of color.
Puffin Books worked with the Roald Dahl Story Company (RDSC) and a diversity group to update Dahl’s stories. Many changes were made, such as rewriting a line in James and the Giant Peach from “fried alive and eaten by a Mexican” to remove hurtful words. Mentions of a writer linked to historical unfairness, Rudyard Kipling, were replaced with Jane Austen. RDSC said these edits help Dahl’s stories “be enjoyed by all children today.”
Some critics, like Suzanne Nossel, have argued that Dahl’s work should stand as it is, with new introductions to prepare readers with context. She believed that the “problem” with rewrites “is that there is no limiting principle.” And the author, Salman Rushdie said: “Roald Dahl was not perfect but this is absurd censorship (荒谬的审查制度).” Despite the strong negative responses, Penguin Random House announced on Feb. 24 that it would continue to publish “classic” versions of Dahl’s books alongside the revised versions.
Yet Karen, a professor of children’s literature, says there is a precedent (历史参照案例) for rewriting texts and a reason publishers go to the trouble. She says they have three choices: stop publishing the work and lose money, continue publishing the original texts amid controversy, or tailor the texts to today’s audience. Karen says the third is the “least problematic option” but that an even better approach is discovering new and exciting authors. “The books are out there,” she says, “people just need to look for them.”

18.Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point(s) of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible.
Why do we read poetry First obvious one: because we enjoy it. The only other reason is for academic purposes, and that's not why this is here.
Many of us read poetry simply because we often feel depressed and hopelessly lost, and in poetry we see how beautiful and strange everything is. So in that way poetry calms our anxiety.
There are many different kinds of poems. They are not all calming. Some poems make me anxious, angry, scared, and sad, which is why I value them. As a reader, I want a full meal, not just dessert. I want the sweet and the bitter. Often, I read poetry when I’m already relaxed. In fact, I read more when I'm not stressed out.
Here are the main reasons I respond to poetry, as far as I can tell. Metrical poems are about setting up rules and then bending them. Usually this is done by setting up a rhythm and then breaking it or almost breaking it, and then returning to it again. This satisfies my desire for order and also my desire for testing boundaries.
Poetry plays with language and often puts words together in surprising ways, which is thrilling the way that food can be, when the chef has paired ingredients you never thought would taste good together but somehow do.
Many poems are dense. Words mean two or three things at once and lots of suggestions are packed between the lines. This is intellectually inspiring and it allows me to read the same poem over and over, always finding new things in it.
And, of course, there’s the subject matter. It interests me just as it would if the same subject was explored in a story or essay. Not all poems interest me in this way, but then not all stories and essays do, either.
19.Do some research (you can use the Internet or reference books) and write a short paragraph about one of these writers: J.D.Salinger, Emily Bronte, or J.K. Rowling.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
20.阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
If you take a look at the best-selling books in the UK these days, it is almost certain that there will be a lot of autobiographies (自传) in that list. Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and actor Michael J Fox have all written them. An autobiography is the story of a person’s life, written by that person. It is usually a very famous person who might tell us all about their childhood, how they became famous and any other interesting things that have happened in their lives.
Traditionally, someone would write an autobiography when they were older because they had had a long, successful life. However, these days there are many magazines with stories and photos of the stars which sell very well. Reality TV shows are extremely popular and lots of people become famous very easily just from being on the TV rather than being able to sing or act well. As a result, people become famous very quickly and as soon as they are famous, a lot of money can be made from writing an autobiography, even if they are very young.
So now you can find an autobiography from almost everyone who is in the public eye. Even though we can follow the lives of the stars very closely on TV or in magazines nowadays, we maybe don’t know how they live their lives from day to day. Autobiographies often give the information we never knew about the stars. The British public are very curious to find out more so they are very eager to read autobiographies.
Not every star wants to write though. Sometimes stars employ writers to write their life stories for them. The writer will interview the stars, listen to everything they want to say, record interviews and then write books based on their words. David Beckham did this with his book My Side.
Not everyone likes to read books regularly but they might like to read about the lives of stars. Autobiographies are helping to get more British people reading books. About 100 million autobiographies are sold in Britain every year. More stars depend on them for extra income and as more of these books appear in the shops, more people are sure to keep buying them.

《2026届高考英语作文专题复习卷》参考答案
1.Tchaikovsky’s talent in music is just the first step to success. His mother, idol, hard work also play an important part in the process of his success. He is even committed to music until death.
After reading through Tchaikovsky’s life story, we can learn upwards of two lessons as follows. First, one should set a big goal and spare no effort in achieving it. Tchaikovsky’s life-long goal was to catch up with his idol Mozart, who influenced his life and work. Second, one should commit one’s whole being to work. Tchaikovsky wrote music for ten years and finally created his masterpiece, Swan Lake.
When it comes to commitment to work, I shall count it as a personal favour. I was once poor in math, but I swore to get it improved in my senior year, so I devoted myself to math in classroom, library and anywhere possible and made it eventually. (151 words)

My Favorite Chinese Poet
The long history of China has witnessed the flourishing of poetry and the brilliance of many exceptional poets, among whom I admire Du Fu most.
Born in a wealthy family in the Tang dynasty, Du Fu showed an outstanding aptitude for composing poems at a young age. However, he did not have a successful career as an official and struggled with poverty later. Yet these experiences contributed to his unique writing style.
I admire Du Fu for his talent as well as his personality. It is widely acknowledged that Du Fu was blessed with superb literary skills, which earned him the title “the Poetry Sage”. Moreover, despite his own misery, many of his poems reflected concern and sympathy for the poor, showing his kindness and patriotism.
With his literary achievements and noble spirit, Du Fu is always an inspiration and guide for me.

When they reached the ford, the horse, still thinking it could lighten the load as before, once again pretended to slip and fell into the water. But the sponges soaked up a large amount of water, making the burden incredibly heavy. The horse struggled desperately to get up, its legs trembling under the new-found weight. The businessman, watching with a stern face, finally spoke, “You thought you were so smart, trying to cheat me every time. But now you’ve learned your lesson. Tricks don’t always pay off.” The horse hung its head, realizing the foolishness of its action.

7.The picture gives us a view of a popular phenomenon: some playwrights and scriptwriters beat their brains to adapt the classics to cater to the tastes of some readers and viewers. As a result, the traditional characters become so strange and the plots are totally different.
What the picture reflects is thought-provoking. It is so ridiculous that the precious literary treasures are allowed to be ruined so much. As we all know, classical literature is the representation of the outstanding art of our nation and on no account should we spoil our literary treasures for economic benefit. Moreover, such adaptations may have negative effects on the average audience, especially children, whose outlook on life will be affected.
Therefore, measures should be taken to restrict these sorts of adaptation. For instance, the real classics are supposed to be presented on the bookshelves for appreciation. In addition, readers had better resist those inferior adaptation. To sum up, it’s joint efforts that count when it comes to the rescue of our traditional cultural treasure.

Adaptations of films and TV series from literature classics have created a brilliant culture. The dream of the Red Mansion is a relatively successful example. However, still many are of poor quality.(32 words).
I am in support of adapting literature classics into films or TV series. Firstly, art takes various forms, and so does the appreciation of classic literature. The digital and commercial age offers us different ways to admire the beauty of literature classics. Adapted versions, if true to the original works and well produced, are undoubtedly a cultural feast for either average viewers or faithful classic literature lovers. Additionally, sometimes when an adaptation turns into a hit, the audience may be driven to read the original work. Trapped in quick-paced life, we could barely spare time to sink into a sofa, reading peacefully. Film or TV adaptations, featuring vivid characters and an appealing plot, bring literature classics back to life.
To conclude, literature classics are worth adaptation. (126 words).
反对:
Adaptations of films and TV series from literature classics have created a brilliant culture. The dream of the Red Mansion is a relatively successful example. However, still many are of poor quality (32 words).
Personally, literature classics should not be adapted into films or TV series. The value of classics lies in their very basic nature: the perfect employment of language and life philosophy between words. To cater to viewers’ taste and gain more profits, producers couldn’t avoid making changes to the original work. Thus, viewers might be misguided and get a wrong picture of the original story, let alone miss the opportunity to appreciate literature on their own. Moreover, with an increasing number of poorly-made adaptations, viewers, especially the young, tend to focus more on those good-looking performers, ignorant of the real culture hidden in the literature works.
To conclude, literature classics are not supposed to be adapted into films or TV series.( 120 words)

I kept writing on the wonderful afternoon. I finished my story when the sunlight was turning golden and streamed through my windows. I got up and showed my “stump story” as well as the prince story to Mom and forcedly admitted that it had helped a lot. Mom explained that sometimes all that I needed to do was something boring but inspiring. I agreed with her because it helped me see that writing about my hero is a lot more fun than writing about that dumb old stump!
This experience has taught me a valuable lesson. Writing doesn’t always have to start with a grand idea or a burst of inspiration. Sometimes, it’s about showing up at the blank page and believing that the act of putting pen to paper will guide you to where you need to go. From that day forward, whenever writer’s block threatens to stall my creative flow, I’ll remember the stump story. It has become a reminder that inspiration isn’t always waiting to strike like lightning. Sometimes, it’s cultivated through the simple act of persisting, even if that means writing about something as ordinary as a tree stump in the woods. And in those moments of perseverance some of the most extraordinary stories are born.
