Prepare a small piece of paper. Write down your name and the changes in your appearance and personality.
Change your paper with others. (You can change with anyone in your class.)
Find a new partner and tell your partner whose paper you’ve got. Take turns to talk about the changes of that person.
When both of you have finished, walk around in the classroom and find a different partner, then repeat the activity.

used to do sth. “过去常常做某事”, 表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作或状态,暗指现在已经不存在了,强调过去与现在的对比。
e.g. Mr. Li used to go to school by bike.
李老师过去常常骑自行车去学校。

e.g. This kind of bamboo is used to make paper.
这种竹子是用来做纸的。

Mario, you used to be short, didn’t you 这句话用到了反义疑问句。
反义疑问句指的是在陈述句之后加上一个意思与之相反的简短问句,用以向对方证实所叙述的事情的句子。
反义疑问句必须由意思相反的两部分组成,在前一部分(陈述句)之后用逗号,后一部分(简短问句)之后用问号。
反义疑问句的否定句必须用缩略形式,同时它的主语必须用人称代词,不能用名词。
反义疑问句有下面两类:
前一部分为肯定式,后一部分是否定式。
前一部分是否定式,后一部分是肯定式。
在使用反义疑问句时需要注意:
1. 陈述句和简短问句在人称、数和时态上必须保持一致,且简短
问句的主语必须为代词。
e.g. Tom let us come into the room, didn’t he
Tom让我们进入房间,是吗?
2. 陈述部分含有nothing, never, hardly, little等表示否定意义的词,
简短问句要用肯定形式。
e.g. He has never been to Hong Kong, has he
他从没去过香港,对吗?
② What’s he like now (教材P25)
What’s sb. like 的意思是“某人什么样?”,它常用来提问人的性格、品质等,也可用来提问人的相貌。
e.g. —What’s Lily like
Lily是怎样的一个人?
—She’s a very nice girl.
她是个非常好的女孩。
【拓展】
当用于提问人的相貌时What’s sb. like =What does sb. look
like 但是What does sb. look like 不能用来提问人的品格、品质。
询问某人喜欢什么时用“What does sb. like ”。
