It’s a good idea to design a way to put your emotions in order. These are very important to prevent those bad emotions from making you feel uncomfortable.
Eat breakfast in silence
If you usually eat breakfast alone, this practice can be really helpful to get your emotions in order. That’s because the beginning of the day is one of the most important.
Having breakfast in silence means turning off your mobile phone, putting away the newspapers, turning off the radio, television, and everything that connects you with the outside world. It’s a time to enjoy both what you’re eating and the silence. In fact, this short period is a way of calming your internal waters. The whole effect is a feeling of being calmer.
Practice mindful breathing for five minutes
If you want to put your emotions in order, the ideal is that every day, you spend five minutes of your time practicing mindful breathing. You should be in a place where no one can interrupt you. It’s even better if there’s no noise and it’s a nice place to be in.
You just have to sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and begin to breathe in and out very slowly. You don’t have to think about anything. This is not a time for worries, unresolved issues, or plans for later to be running through your mind.
Think of yourself first
It’s well worth introducing an act of personal prioritization each day. Indeed, every day is a good day for attending to your needs, your tastes, your preferences, or your dreams.
You may not be able to enjoy big rewards every week, but you can enjoy small and successful ones. For example, sometimes it’s enough to just enjoy a warm bath, without worrying about anything else.
In fact, a little act of personal prioritization has a wonderful effect on your mood and your enjoyment of life.
Putting your emotions in order should be something you do every day.
If you introduce ways that help you build order on a daily basis, you’ll see how, in a short time, your mood becomes unchangeable. Moreover, it’ll be shown in all parts of your life.
29.This passage is most probably part of ________.
A.a lifestyle notes B.a scientific report of the mind
C.a physical examination report D.a doctor’s notes
30.When we do something with prioritization, we can surely do something ________.
A.fast B.first C.slowly D.carefully
31.What can we learn about how to put emotions in order
A.Sometimes with some noise, we also can achieve this goal.
B.When practicing mindful breathing, you should lean on something comfortable.
C.You should try your best to get big rewards to make yourself happy.
D.You should do it daily to make your mood unchangeable.

Teens want structure (精心组织) in their lives, which means they want their lives well-planned. To begin building structure, teens need love and trust. They need to know their parents are there to give them needed love and support. Teens want to be sure that nothing can prevent parents from shouldering their responsibility for them — not their growing maturity (成熟), misbehavior, nor anger at something they have done. Teens want parents to keep control while allowing them to make some decisions.
There are some ways you can help your teens create reasonable structure and remain close. One way is to spend time together. Parents often mistake their teens’ increased interest in friends for disinterest in the family.
Teens would like to spend more time doing things with their parents, but watching TV is not counted as spending time together. As your teens mature, it is important for you and your teens to spend time alone together, one to one. Your teens need time to talk to you alone without any other family member present.
Talk with your teens about their interests and concerns. Make sure you really show interest in what is happening. When talking with your teens, give full attention and do not stop them.
The way to help your teens become adults is to let your teens into your world. Sharing your emotions and concerns with your teens is important. Avoid causing needless worry.
Trust your teens. Don’t expect the worst. Hope for the best. Telling your teens you don’t like their friends will cause the teens not to bring their friends home. If something should go wrong, believe that your teens didn’t do it on purpose.
It is very important that you treat your teens with respect. Teens need the same respect adults show for total strangers. Don’t talk down to your teens.
You need to be supportive of your teens. What may be a small problem to you may be troubling to your teens. Teens don’t have the experiences that adults have had. Let the teens know that you understand how much it hurts when something happens that is upsetting or hurtful to them. As they mature, they can look back at some problems they had and laugh at having been upset by something that now seems unimportant.
The most important things to remember are: talk with your teens, listen to their worries and offer suggestions when needed. This will help your teens to live a well-organized life.
36.According to Paragraph 1, teens ________.
A.can control themselves B.expect direction and freedom
C.don’t know how to make decisions D.don’t have responsibility for the family
