教学难点： 1. Use different conjunctions to describe ways of home alone. 2. Write a composition about what children must do, can do and can’t do when parents are away.
教学过程
Step1 Revision Revise the content of Unit1 and ask students: What must Betty do when her parents are away What can Betty do when her parents are away Revise the content of Unit2 and ask students: What happened to Zheng Chenyu when his parents were away Was it a perfect holiday for him What could Zheng Chenyu learn to do when his parents were away What couldn’t he do when his parents were away Step 2 Summary Summarize the ways of home alone in different aspects in U1 and U2 Step3.Task-based reading Read more information about safety rules through the reading material and match the topic sentences with the paragraphs. Step 4 Writing 1.Reading task Write an email to help Sally know what she must do, what she can do and what she can’t do when her parents are away. 2.Think about the writing elements, such as the content, the structure and the conjunctions. 3. Design a checklist for students to see if their writings are good or bad. 4.Give a sample for students to learn and compare. Step5 Homework 1. Search for more ways for children to take care of themselves when parents are away. 2. Finish and polish your composition with the help of the checklist.
