教学目标
1.To review imperative sentences of expressing fobiddance (No+V.ing / No+N) through some common signs in daily life. 2.To get to know some famous museums around the world and learn more about The Louvre through the short passage in the column called Around the world. 3.To review some key words and phrases by doing the exercises on P40. 4.To finish the module task: Plan a guide to a museum.
教学内容
教学重点: 1. To review the key language points in this module and enlarge some other words and phrases. 1)Key words and phrases: upstairs, entry, compare...with..., as well as, pay attention to, make sure, look forward to (+V.ing) 2)Key structures: No+V.ing, No+N. 2. To learn more about The Louvre through the short passage in Around the world.
教学难点: 1. Use the content in this module comprehensively to finish the module task: Plan a guide to a museum.
教学过程
Step1 Lead in: Review Show 4 pictures of signs to students and ask them to guess the meaning of each sign. (Students can review 2 ways of expressing forbiddance: No+V.ing/No+N.) Then, ask students to think about where they can see these signs. (It aims to lead the topic of museum.) Step2 Good to know Make students to talk in pairs: What famous museums do you know Show some pictures of famous museums around the world(The Palace Museum, National Museum of China, The British Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Louvre) and introduce them to students simply. (It aims to enlarge students’ knowledge about museum and encourage them to learn and see more about the world. At the meantime, lead the content of next step: The Louvre.) Step3 Around the world Show the short passage in Around the world. Ask students to read the passage quickly to find the answers to the questions below: Q1: How many art works are there in the Louvre Q2: What’s the most famous painting in the Louvre (To make students improve their abilities of scanning. ) Then, ask students to read the passage carefully to answer 3 more difficult questions: Q3: How famous is the Louvre Q4: Where is the Louvre Q5: How can you enter the museum (To help students improve their abilities of intensive reading. ) Step4 Exercises on P40 Ask students to finish A6, A7 and A8. (It aims to review the key language points in this module and enlarge some other words and phrases. At the meantime, A8 will practice students’ listening ability as well. ) Step 5 Homework: Plan a guide to a museum in groups of 4. Give students some instructions and hints on how to finish the homework.(It aims to help them improve their abilities of using English comprehensively.)
