What is the problem
What are your questions
Think of a problem. Write a short letter to Diana about the problem. Use the steps in Activity 5 to help you.
Dear Diana,
Yesterday, we had an English test but I failed it. I only got 65 marks. I was afraid that my parents would be angry if they saw the marks. So I changed my marks to full marks. When my parents saw the result, they were very proud and bought me a pair of shoes to encourage me.
When I got my favourite shoes, I felt excited but upset. I was worried that my parents would know the truth and then they would be very mad at me because they always asked me to be honest. What should I do Should I tell them the truth
Yours,
Jacky

Dear Jacky,
I’m sorry to hear that you failed the exam. But I think you have made a mistake. It’s bad that you changed your marks. And It’s even worse that you accepted the new shoes as a gift and didn’t tell your parents about it. If you tell them the truth now, they will probably be angry with you, but at least you will show that you are honest.
I hope you can apologise to your parents. If you do that, they will
realise that you are really sorry and at the same time, you yourself
will feel comfortable.
Best wishes,
Diana
