教学内容
教学重点: 1. Try to make the students grasp the grammar of “if”in adverbial clause of condition. 2. Try to make the students use the key words and expressions of Module6 correctly. 教学难点: The usage of the grammar “if”in adverbial clause of condition.
教学过程
Step1.Lead in Encourage the students to play a chain game in groups, e.g. If I ..., I will/ won’t... (Purpose: To arouse the students’ interest in this topic.) Step 2.Grammar Practice(1) 1.Encourage the students to give suggestions. (Purpose: To lead the students to practise the usage of if.) 2.Make a conclusion of the usage of “if”in adverbial clause of condition. (Purpose: To help the students grasp the usage of if.) 3. Compare the differences of if between objective clause and adverbial clause. (Purpose: To help the students understand the usage of if correctly.) Step3.Grammar Practice(2) 1. Activity1on Page 46, get the students to rewrite the sentences with if in . Activity2 on Page 46 , get the students to think of three problems they have in their schoolwork. Make notes about them in the Problem boxes.Then get the students to work in pairs. Talk about their problems and give advice to each plete the table 3.Activity3 on Page 46 , get the students to complete the sentences so that they are true for them. (Purpose: To help the students consolidate the usage of if.) Step4.Vocabulary 1.Activity4on Page 47, get the students to complete the conversation with the correct form of the words and expressions in the box. 2. Activity2 on Page 47, get the students to complete the passages with the correct form of the of expressions in the box. (Purpose: To help the students consolidate the usage of the key words and expressions in Module6.) Step5.Self-assessment & Homework Must do: 1. Review the usage of “if” in Module 6. 2. Review the new words and expressions in Module 6. Can do: Write a chain game with the usage of if and the new words and expressions in Module 6 at least 50 words. (Purpose: To help the students check how well they have learned and consolidate the usage of if and the key words in M6 in an interesting but useful way.)
