教材分析 What: 本课时是一节故事课,继续延续子话题Meet our special friend中的认识教材故事的人物,语篇通过Oliver回顾开学认识新老师的性格特征而展开,谈到体育老师,然后进入本节课的故事阅读,故事讲述的是Zoom和Zip与朋友们在操场上踢足球并谈论新体育老师的故事。通过他们对体育老师外貌特征的预测与体育老师本人体形特征之间的差异,渗透并说明了一个道理:不能以貌取人。Why: 学生通过阅读趣味故事,巩固本单元所学语言,增加语言的输入,同时也能明白不能以貌取人的道理,学会尊重和欣赏他人。How: 本节课是一节故事课,教师引导学生通过观察图片和阅读语篇获取关键信息,以及结合本单元所学知识理解上下文,理解新句子:I only know he’s a good football player. He must be tall and strong.等。然后通过猜测,发表个人看法,再次阅读语篇,得出总结The rabbit is very thin and short, but he is a good football player.渗透不能以貌取人的观念。
