第一节 应用文参考范文
Dear Chris,
Hope you’ve been enjoying the copy of Dream of the Red Chamber I lent you last month. I’m wondering how you’re getting along with it.
Have you had a chance to dive deep into the characters and their stories I’m really interested to hear your thoughts. We’re planning to have a reading group discussion on the book next Monday. If possible, could you return the book this weekend You could let me know when would be a convenient time for me to pick it up.
I can’t wait to discuss the book with you soon, and let me know if you need any help with the story!
Best wishes,
Li Hua
第二节 读后续写参考范文
When they got close to the sound, they found that it was an injured deer. This young female lay trapped in old wires left by hunters, her right side torn and bleeding. Chloe spoke in soft, slow tones while Noah pressed clean cloth to the wound to stop the bleeding. They stabilized the deer's leg at the correct angle, cleaned the cuts with cleaning wipes to keep infection away, then carefully cut the wire with strong scissors they brought with them in their hiking tool kit. The moment the last piece of wire snapped, they took 20 steps back to give the scared deer space, watching to make sure she didn’t get weaker. They waited patiently while praying for this poor creature.
About 30 minutes later, the deer tried to stand up. Her legs shook like small trees in a storm. She fell twice before standing unsteadily on the third try. The two friends almost gasped when the deer took her first shaky steps. Each step got stronger until she reached the edge of the woods. There, she stopped and turned her neck. Her dark eyes met theirs’, as if they were sharing a moment without words. “That look,” Noah said softly, “is why we care for all animals.” Chloe whispered, “And why every first-aid lesson is important.” The deer disappeared into the golden woods, leaving a quiet that felt deeper than before.

W: Is this a model airplane you are making
M: Not really. I wanted to make a car at first but it got me nowhere and I’m trying to turn it into a sailboat instead.
Text 2
W: How do you go to your office every day
M: Well, most of the time, I ride a bicycle. I also drive there or take the subway sometimes when the weather is bad.
Text 3
M: I thought you went to your grandparents’ yesterday.
W: I wanted to, but I caught a bad cold. I hate seeing a doctor, so I just rested at home the whole day.
M: Oh, I’m really sorry to hear that. You’d better take some medicine.
Text 4
W: Hurry up! It’s already 4 o’clock.
M: Don’t worry. Our flight leaves in two hours. It’s just a 20-minute drive to the airport. W: But rush hours start at 5 o’clock. We’d better leave now.
Text 5
W: May I make a recommendation, sir
M: Certainly. I’m having trouble deciding what to order.
W: You can try our salmon. We have special sauce for it. And the fish is very fresh.
M: Thanks. I’ll give it a try.
Text 6
M: Joan, there’ll be a free concert at the new stadium tomorrow. Would you like to go with me
W: I’d really like to, but I’ve promised to play tennis with Steve in the City Gym tomorrow. When will the concert start
M: It’ll start at seven o’clock in the evening.
W: Perfect. I’ll finish playing tennis at 5:30 pm. I guess I won’t miss the concert.
M: Good. The City Gym is just between my house and the stadium. Just wait for me at the front gate and I’ll pick you up at about 6:00 pm.
W: That’s very kind of you. See you then.
M: See you.
Text 7
M: Hi, Carol. Are you ready to start our project about pets
W: Yes, John. What pets should we focus on
M: Tom and I were thinking of cats or dogs. Which would you prefer
W: Well, I don’t know much about either of them. What about fish
M: That’s a good idea. I’ll ask Tom to take some pictures of fish. And you prepare the PowerPoint slides, OK
W: Sure. Anything else, John
M: I think we’d better make some cards in case we forget something important during the presentation.
W: Sounds great. But I hate speaking in public, so I prefer not to give the presentation in front of the entire class.
M: I’ll do that. I don’t mind it at all. And I’m sure Mary can write a good summary at the end.
Text 8
M: Hi, Emily. Have you ever watched the classic movie Hacksaw Ridge
W: Hi, Larry. I haven’t watched it yet. I heard it’s quite bloody. And it’s said that the hero saved 75 people in the war. That sounds unreal.
M: Actually, it is based on a true story. I strongly recommend that you watch it and be prepared to get some paper towels. I couldn’t help crying while watching it.
W: I wish I could spare time to watch movies, but the final examinations are coming. I’m struggling with them and I even have no time to shop for basics.
M: Your grades are always good. I think you don’t have to worry about exams.
W: Math is too difficult for me. There’re still many mathematical calculations I don’t understand.
M: Take it easy. Don’t you remember I failed the math exam last semester But I finally caught up. Maybe I can share my learning methods with you.
W: Wow, thanks. It couldn’t be better. Then let’s study together.
M: Why not
Text 9
M: We’ve been working overtime for days. Finally, the work is nearly complete. And what’s exciting is that the Spring Festival is coming soon.
W: Yes. What’s more exciting is that the clients are satisfied with our outcomes and the boss has promised to give our team a huge year-end bonus.
M: That’s fantastic. Do you have any plans for the long holiday, Bonnie
W: I decided to travel to Japan with my parents. I’ve been looking forward to going there for long.
M: Japan is one of the most-visited tourist destinations around the world. Is there anything you want to do there
W: Yes, I want to watch the snow-covered Mount Fuji. It’s so beautiful!
M: That sounds good. And you can also eat traditional Japanese food, like sushi.
W: Actually, I don’t like sushi, and neither does my mother. But it’s really my father’s cup of tea. What about your plans for the festival
M: I’ll go back to my hometown in the countryside.
W: That’s also a good plan. Family reunions are always a traditional custom.
Text 10
W: Hello everyone! In today’s program, we’re going to talk about Anne Rice, a famous female novelist. Rice was born in New Orleans on October 4, 1941. She passed away due to a stroke on December 11, 2021. Raised in an Irish family, Rice initially imagined herself as something else rather than a novelist. Rice married the poet Stan Rice in 1961. They had two children: Christopher and Michelle. Unfortunately, Michelle died of cancer at 5 in 1972. It was while mourning for Michelle that Rice wrote her first novel, Interview with the Vampire, which was published in 1976. In Interview with the Vampire, she introduced Lestat, who would be the central character in her vampire series. “I had an idea of Lestat as the man who could do things that I couldn’t do,” Rice once said in a talk at Southern Illinois University. After Interview with the Vampire, she wrote novels about people who are shut out of life for different reasons. As a novelist, she was decades ahead of her time. That’s all for today’s program.
