一、总体分析
新课标既要求学生具备识别篇章中的时间顺序、空间顺序和过程顺序的能力,还要求学生能够根据语境线索或图表信息推测篇章内容,所以完形填空的解题可归结为四步:语境中,按逻辑,找线索,推测词。

【注意】完形填空主要考查记叙文,以考查动词和名词为主。另外,短语题虽然考查较少,但几乎每年至少考查一道,且以动词短语为主。
二、宏观角度做完形填空
1.解题靠线索,线索藏文中。线索无处寻,选项靠中心。
2.文章有顺序,行文有逻辑。词汇有重复,常识来帮助。
前期“三步走”
后期“多回头”
1.前期“三步走”
完形填空解题的准备工作有三步:按顺序,理逻辑,找中心。完形填空语篇的体裁多为记叙文,其行文顺序常见有三种:故事线、情感线、时间线。一篇文章中可能存在两条线,甚至三条线,灵活梳理最明显的1~2条线即可。
2.后期“多回头”
相较于设空句的后文,前文与设空句的联系相对更加紧密。理解设空句、上句,甚至上段的单词、句意,分析前文与设空句的逻辑关系,能推导出大部分设空句的所缺单词。因此,本书建议同学们在解题时,多“回头”看前文。当前文无线索时,读后文;后文发现线索,再“回头”解上题。当全文无线索时,“回头”看中心。

【注意】全文围绕露营展开,情感积极向上,即文章中心词是wonderful camping experiences。当某些题找不到解题线索时,越贴近文章中心,选项的正确率越高。

三、微观角度做完形填空
完形填空的考查以实词为主、虚词为辅,并对此分别设置了动词题、名词题、形容词&副词题以及短语题(动词短语或介词短语)。其中,从近年高考真题来看,动词题和名词题的题数平均占比高达60%。

篇章 篇章一致 篇章连贯
完形填空的选项之间“轻同/近义词辨析,重词义篇章理解”,即词汇的“一词多义”情况。所以我们不但要熟知词汇本身的各种词义,还需理解其在篇章语境中以及词汇搭配里所呈现出的特定词义。

篇章语境是确定选项词义的关键因素之一。而篇章三要素——词、句、段之间环环相扣,呈现出篇章一致且连贯的特征。完形填空的语篇虽然语意残缺,但其特征显而易见。据此特征,填入选项,补全语篇!
篇章一致强调“在意义和逻辑上具有统一性和完整性”。篇章连贯强调“在语言形式和语意上的衔接性和流畅性”,其具体表现如下:
篇章一致 主题一致 围绕一个明确的主题展开,所有的内容都与该主题相关
观点一致 表达的观点前后统一,没有自相矛盾之处
情感态度 一致 表现出的情感态度保持稳定,不会出现突然的转变

【注意】解题线索可能在上句、设空句或下句中,甚至在篇章主题中。上文的主题是“越野赛中·参赛者不顾自身成绩,帮助伤者一起完成比赛”。某些题目可以利用“主题一致”优先排除干扰项,如:41题中,designed(the course)和changed(the course)与参赛者无关;43题中,classmate与越野赛无关;44题中,仅有race与越野赛相关。
第二节 逻辑连贯
逻辑连贯常依靠逻辑关系词、代词、省略等方式实现。
完形填空考查逻辑连贯时,通常有两种考查形式:
一、直接考查,即选项本身为逻辑关系词,根据空格前后的信息,确定逻辑关系。如:He is very tall,but his brother is short.
二、间接考查,即选项本身为非逻辑关系词,往往是实词,根据逻辑关系及空格前后的语意信息,确定设空处的词。如:I stayed at home because it was raining.
近几年,高考英语完形填空对逻辑的考查难度相对增加,以间接考查为主。以下是逻辑关系的常见表达方式:
