教学目标
At the end of the class, you’ll be able to: 1. get information about English by reading the passage. 2. understand how to analyze the structure of the passage. 3. apply what we’ve learnt into giving an opinion on English and giving some facts to support the opinion by using the adverbial clauses and the infinitives based on the structure.

1.Lead in Look at some pictures and answer. T: What language can you see in each paragraph S: English. T: Yes, we can find English everywhere in our daily life. So what do you think of English S: … T: Yes, I agree with you. English is very important in our daily life. Let’s read a passage and learn more about English. 观看视频,导入话题,热身课堂,激发学生对英语的好奇心和求知欲,引发学生自主思考,激活学生与语篇之间知识和经验的关联。(感知与注意)
2. Fast reading T: Look at the title: Who owns English It’s a question. Can you answer this question In order to check the writer’s opinion is the same as yours. Please read the passage and find out what the writer’s opinion is Task 1 Which is the writer's opinion A. English is the most important international language. B. English will be replaced by Chinese in the future. C. English is a language with a very long history. D. English is a language with many borrowed words. Tip: If the question is the title of the passage, the answer will usually be at the end of the passage. Opinion: English is the most important international language.
