Last summer, I decided to visit the Palace Museum in Beijing. The Palace Museum is very popular with tourists both at home and abroad. It is rich in historical relics and ancient wisdom.
I arrived there early in the morning. To avoid（避开）the crowds, I followed the guide’s advice to start from the less-visited areas. The guide reminded us to be careful when walking around the palaces, as some of the floors were old and might break easily.

The Yellow River is very important in China. It is about 5,464 kilometers long. It runs through nine provinces. People call it the “Mother River” of China. It is the second-longest river in China after the Yangtze River and the sixth-longest in the world.
A long time ago, Chinese people began to live along the river. It gave us water for farming. There are many stories and traditions about it.
But now, there are some problems. For example, the soil is being washed away in some parts. So people are trying to plant more trees to protect our Mother River.
