Lesson 3 Thinking Skills and Reading Strategies
I. Material analysis
内容解读:

III. Teaching procedures
课时教学内容概述
本课时为思维技能和阅读策略的学习。 Thinking Skills部分的内容为比较和对比人物、事物间的异同思维技能的学习。Activity 1为学习理解类活动。通过呈现图片、文本和对比表格,帮助学生通过观察图片和阅读文本,学习如何比较和对比。Activity 2为应用实践类活动。学生阅读文本,填写对比表格,巩固和内化Activity 1中所学技能。Activity 3为迁移创新类活动。学生依据Activity 2的文本内容,与同伴讨论雯雯和小露饮食习惯的异同,并与同伴分享比较和对比的方法。 Reading Strategies部分为“记笔记”阅读策略的学习,即通过记录文本中的关键信息来理解和记住重要信息。Activity 1要求学生阅读文本画出关键词汇和短语,学习理解记笔记的步骤。Activity 2要求学生阅读Activity 1中的文本,填写笔记,开展记笔记策略的应用实践活动。Activity 3要求学生根据文本线索填写表格,并和同伴分享记笔记的方法,进行迁移创新活动。

Step 1 Lead-in Brainstorming: Discuss how to compare and contrast in two things. 观察学生的表现,根据学生讨论的情况,了解其对比较和对比的认知情况。
设计意图:通过头脑风暴,引导学生思考如何对比和比较不同人物、事物,激活学生的已有知识储备,为后续学习做好铺垫。
Step 2 Reading & Learning Compare and contrast Pingping and Yining according to the pictures first. Read the text in Activity 1, then compare and contrast Pingping and Yining again. Read the text in Activity 2 and complete the comparison chart. Check the answers. Retell the text based on the comparison chart. 根据学生的学习情况,判断其是否能比较和对比文本中人物的异同。 观察学生复述的表现,必要时给予指导和反馈。

Step 4 Reading strategies Read the explanation about taking note. Read the text and underline more key words in Activity 1 and learn how to take notes. Read the text in Activity 1 , then complete the notes in Activity 2. Check the answers. 根据学生的表现,判断学生能否借助文本中画线的关键词完成笔记,理解和掌握这一阅读策略,必要时给予指导和反馈。

Tips for Doing Exercise
Exercise is important for our health. Here are some tips to help you exercise better and safely.
Start small. If you are new to exercise, start with easy activities like walking. Do not push yourself too hard at the beginning.
Wear comfortable fortable clothes and shoe are good for exercise. This helps you move easily and stay safe.
Keep on doing sports. Try to exercise regularly, like 3-4 times a week. Even 20-30 minutes each time is enough to stay healthy.
Have fun. Choose activities you enjoy. This makes exercise more fun and easier to stick to.
