Lesson 5 Grammar in Use
I. Material analysis
内容解读:

III. Teaching procedures
课时教学内容概述
本课时为语法学习,分为2个部分,包括后缀-less和-ful及过去进行时的学习。 Suffixes -less and -ful部分:Activity 1 通过图片和句子呈现语法现象,学生观察相关词汇的结构。Activity 2 要求学生用所给单词的正确形式完成句子,归纳语法规则。Activity 3 选词填空。学生结合单元主题相关的文本,在特定的语境中使用所学语法知识,开展迁移创新活动,学习后缀-less和-ful的语用功能。 The past continuous tense部分:Activity 1通过对话呈现语法现象,让学生学习过去进行时was/were doing的用法。Activity 2要求学生完成表格填空,学习过去进行时的肯定、否定和疑问形式。Activity 3 要求学生看图片完成对话,在具体的语境中练习运用过去进行时描述过去某个时刻正在进行的动作,开展迁移创新活动。

Step 1 Observing Look at the pictures in Activity 1 and read the sentences. Pay attention to the words in bold. Identify the words formed by adding the suffixes -less and -ful in the sentences. Play a game: Give each group of students a set of noun cards and ask them to add the suffixes -less or -ful to turn them into adjectives. 观察学生观察图片读句子时的表现,了解他们对后缀-less和-ful这一语法现象的认知。 观察学生在游戏中的表现,判断他们能否正确运用后缀-less和-ful的构词法。

Step 2 Summarizing Complete the sentences with the correct form of the given words in Activity 2. Check the answers. Discuss and summarize the word-formation rules of the suffixes -less and -ful, as well as the meanings and usages of the words. Read the sentences aloud. 根据学生句子完成情况,判断他们对后缀 -less和-ful 构词法及单词意义和用法的掌握程度,必要时给予指导和反馈。

Step 3 Applying 1.Read the text in Activity 3, fill in the blanks with the words in the box. 2.Check the answers. 3.Read the text in Activity 3 aloud and understand the usage of the words in the context. 观察学生根据文本语境选择单词的情况,判断他们对后缀 -less和-ful构词规律、意义的理解程度及在语境中正确使用后缀-less和-ful构词的能力。
