本单元的主题是运用情态动词can、must和have to 以及祈使句,通过对目标语言的学习,使学生具备能够使用英语制定规章制度的才能;七年级学生经过上个学期的英语学习,具备了一些英语交际能力,他们对英语学习具有较浓厚的兴趣,求知欲旺盛,而且在前面的教学中学生们已经涉及了一些情态动词和祈使句的用法。而本单元主要学习一些校规,比较贴近学生们的生活实际,学生们渴望知道用英语如何表达校规校纪,因为它为本课时学习奠定了情感上的基础。

(一)教学内容分析
本单元的中心话题是rules。主要语言功能项目是talk about rules。语法结构为情态动词can、must和have to以及祈使句。本课时先通过Activity2d中两人对话操练来培养学生的交流能力,同时也引导学生多沟通与多交流。Grammar Focus是本单元的重点句型,需要学生牢牢记住并会运用。Activity3a是根据Grammar Focus给学校图书馆制定规章制度。Activity3b 是根据提示完成句子,主要练习情态动词can和have to 的用法。Activity3c是让学生给自己认为的理想中的学习制定规章制度,内容新颖有趣,符合七年级学生的年龄特点和心理特点,十分贴近学生的实际生活经验。
