But I talked back loudly, “I should be allowed to eat some! Give it to me now!” d. I regret talking back, not listening to Mom. 3. Structure: modal verbs+be+past participle

教 学 过 程 教 学 过 程 Step 1 Lead in 1. Show a Chinese ancient poem《游子吟》，Let Ss know the topic is about mother's love. Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Show the passage and ask Ss the genre of it. 2. Lead Ss to know the features of the poem. Step 3 While-reading Fast reading 1. Make Ss read after the tape answer: How many periods（时期）did the writer mention What are they 2. The structure of the poem. Divide the poem into 3 parts and then match each part with the main idea. Careful reading. Make Ss read each part carefully and finish the following tasks. Then provide reading tips for each part. 1. Read part 1 and answer the questions. 2. Read part 2 and fill in the chart. And then answer two questions: Why do you think the writer talked back to his mom How did the writer feel 3. Read part 3 and answer questions. Step 4 Post reading Let’ s role play! Work in groups of three. Choose one scene and role-play the conversation. Group work: Best readers. Thanksgiving is coming, The Voice of China is looking for the best readers. Choose one part of the poem and read it with emotion. Step 5 Summary Ask Ss to summarize what we have learned today Step 6 Homework
