more

100,000
tourists
visit

islands

year.
Such
numbers
have
put
the
islands,
special
ecology

intense

Conservationists
backed

the
Ecuador

exercising

controls

protect

islands
iguanas,
blue-footed
boobies,
and
giant
tortoises.
These
moves
have
angered
many
local
people,

They
want

exploit

the
Ecuador
