单元重点：1、了解并运用形容词的比较级对人物的年龄、身高、体重等特征做出比较，并理解比较级和最高级的基本构词规律；
2、听、说、读、写，并在情景中运用句型：How tall … It’s/I’m … than … Who is … than you 比较动物、人物等的信息;能用What size are your shoes 等句子询问并回答；
3、 能够在语境中理解生词dinosaur, hall, metre, than及both的意思，并能正确发音；
4、能够完成各部分的任务活动。
本课时重点：1、能够从图片信息中推测考查点，做到有目的地听录音，并完成选图任务；
2、 能够通过观察例词，在教师的帮助下归纳总结形容词比较级的词尾变化；
3、 能够通过阅读趣味故事，复习巩固本单元所学语言，增加学生语言的输入；
4、 能够理解故事内容；能够朗读故事；能够表演故事；能够恰当运用故事中的语言。
教学过程
Warming-up
Let’s say:复习所学过的形容词的比较级和最高级；
提出问题：How tall is Zoom How tall is Zip
播放主情境图的视频，让学生回答问题。
Pr-reading
Zip和Zoom正在招聘守门员，谁来面试了？让学生们带着任务视听课文动画。
公布答案之后继续提问：How tall is the deer 让学生带着问题视听故事对话内容。
回答问题后，让学生演一演，操练对话。
While-reading
Let’s say: 继续深入课文学习，让学生们找出其他动物不能胜任守门员的原因。
2. Let’s say利用表格的形式帮助学生们梳理相关信息。
Post-reading
让学生们根据图片复述故事。
