疑问句语序
在复合句中，充当宾语的句子叫宾语从句。引导宾语从句的常见关联词除了that, if, whether还有who, where, why和how等。
当一个特殊疑问句充当宾语时，原来的疑问词what, who, which, when, where, how, why等作为引导宾语从句的关联词，这些词在宾语从句中充当一定的句子成分，都有各自的词义，不可省略。

语序
宾语从句的时态与主句的时态相关：
如果主句是现在的某种时态，则宾语从句的时态可根据实际情况而定；
如果主句是过去的某种时态，则宾语从句一般要用相应的过去时态(宾语从句表示客观真理除外)。如：
* Peter wants to know what Lucy was doing at 8:00 yesterday morning.
* My aunt asked me when I would buy a new car.
时态
当宾语从句中的主语与主句的主语或宾语一致时，可用“关联词+动词不定式(短语)”对从句进行改写。如：
* I really don’t know which book I should buy. =
I really don’t know which book to buy.

转换
含有wh-疑问词的宾语从句，此结构强烈表现出语言的功能特征—礼貌索取信息时的语言结构。礼貌的结构特征是指日常交际中人们在特定场合下彼此使用的约定俗成的句型，其最大的特点就是礼貌性。本单元呈现出的礼貌结构特征如：

【语境应用】将简单句合并为含有宾语从句的复合句。
