I like swimming,but I don't like to swim today.(前者表经常性的行为,后者表示一次具体的行为)

★begin,continue,intend,start
如强调“有意识”的行为,常跟动词-ing形式作宾语;如强调“无意识”的行为,常跟不定式作宾语。
I started learning English when I was ten.(表示有意识的行为)
我从10岁开始学英语。
It began to rain when I got home last night.(表示无意识的行为)
昨晚我到家时,天开始下雨了。
当begin,start用于进行时态时,后面跟不定式作宾语。
The bus is starting to run.(进行时,跟不定式)
公共汽车正开始起动。
当这几个词之后是表示“精神状态或心理活动”的动词时,只能用不定式作宾语。

句型sb./sth.want/need/require doing...意为“某人/某物需要……”。动词-ing形式与句子主语在逻辑上是动宾关系,用主动形式表被动含义,此句中的doing可用to be done代替。
My bike needs repairing(=to be repaired).
我的自行车需要维修。
The old man requires looking after(=to be looked after).
这位老人需要照料。
句型sb.want/need/require to do...意为“某人想要做……”。不定式与句子主语在逻辑上是主谓关系。
She wants to talk with me.
她想和我谈谈。
★ forget,go on,mean,regret,remember,stop,try,can't help
这些词后跟不定式或动词-ing形式作宾语,意义上有较大的不同。
remember to do sth.记住要做某事(不定式表示行为尚未发生)
remember doing sth.记得做过某事(动词-ing形式表示行为已经发生)
forget to do sth.忘记了要做某事(不定式表示行为尚未发生)
