第一节
    参考范文:
Good morning, everyone. Today, I am honored to present the scientist I admire the most-Yuan Longping.
Yuan Longping, renowned as the “ Father of Hybrid Rice,” revolutionized agriculture by developing the
world s first hybrid rice, a breakthrough that significantly boosted rice production and addressed food security
challenges globally. His pioneering work has transformed the livelihoods of millions, particularly in regions
grappling with hunger.
What I deeply admire about Yuan Longping is not just his groundbreaking achievements, but his
unwavering commitment to improving humanity s well-being. Despite numerous setbacks, he remained
relentlessly devoted to his research. His resilience and visionary approach serve as an enduring source of
inspiration for me to pursue innovation and contribute meaningfully to society.
    Thank you!
第二节
    参考范文:
Another guy who was standing near the machine told us that the machine was out of order. Without a
moment s pause, the helpful man swiftly pulled out his credit card and used it to buy the tickets for us. “Here

you go,” he said with a warm smile, handing over the tickets. Though we offered him the money, he politely
declined, giving us the sense that his kindness was entirely unconditional. “No thanks,” he said gently, and
proceeded to accompany us all the way to the platform entrance. He even checked the train schedule and urged
us to hurry, as the next train was due to depart within minutes. With a cheerful “ Goodbye and have a great
day,” he waved us off.
On reaching home, we told our folks about this. They were deeply touched and asked if we had taken the
young man s name to acknowledge his kindness publicly-perhaps through The Boston Globe. Sadly, we hadn t,
lost in the rush and emotion of the moment. Yet, his anonymity made the gesture even more profound. In a
foreign city, his quiet compassion reminded us that humanity transcends borders. His selfless help turned a
stressful evening into a lasting memory-one that reaffirmed our belief in the power of simple, genuine human
kindness.

M: I think it s been about six months. I brush my teeth everyday. But I have a sweet tooth like cookies,
candies, chocolates etc.
W: OK, let me check. Now lean back and open your mouth. I m going to clean up your teeth now. Please let

M: Does every thing look OK
W: Yes. After you get home, your teeth might be a little uncomfortable. But there is no need to take any

W: Yes, I went to a car dealership for a test-drive last Friday.
M: You have to be careful when you negotiate with those salesmen.
W: I know. They will try to take advantage of people. So I m going to take Joseph with me. He used to work as

M: Good idea. How much are you planning to spend

W: Alex, I can t wait for Sarah s birthday. How about surprising her with a special party
M: Great. Emma. But do you have any idea what kind of party it will be
W: She loves flowers. Maybe we can throw a garden party with flower decorations.
M: That sounds good. We can send out flower cards as invitations. Each card can be printed with a picture of
a different flower. Which means each person is special.
W: Perfect. I m good at designing, so leave the cards to me. Let s include a little note asking everyone to bring
a flower for Sarah as a birthday gift. Then, we can create a flower arrangement with those flowers. I can
already picture the flower filled atmosphere.
M: Oh, I know a lovely garden space in the neighboring park. It won t cost anything. We just need to book it
one day in advance.
W: OK, and for the guest list, should we include all of Sarah s classmates and teachers
M: She doesn t like too many people together. Just her roommates, her friends, and our family will be enough.

W: Danny, sorry I m late to pick you up. I was stuck at my office.
M: It s okay, mom. I played with my friends while waiting for you.
W: So, what did the tennis coach say
M: Well, I didn t make the team. I let you and myself down.
W: You never let me down, sweet heart. Making the team isn t the only measure of success. Learning life
lessons from failure is also a kind of success.
M: But what should I learn from failure
W: Sports aren t just about winning, performing well or even getting fit. The most important thing is doing your
best and accepting results. We can t always control the results, but we can control our attitudes.
M: You re right But it still hurts.
W: That s completely normal. I played many sports when I was your age. But I love golf the most. That s where
I learned patience, focus and acceptance.
M: Will I learn these things
W: Absolutely. But for now, how about eating some sweet food like ice cream before going home
M: Great, mom.
