答案::1-5 CCACA 6-10 BACBA 11-15 ACBCB 16-20 ABBAB
阅读
第一节
A篇
English as a second language at McCreless的举办时间是December 14,因此,D项正确。
23. C。 Introduction to computers的讲师是 Marcel Martinez Alvarez,Children's yoga的讲师是Lissette Cantu,讲师不一样,故A项错误;Introduction to computers的受众是Adults,Children's yoga的受众是Kids,受众不一样,故B项错误;Introduction to computers的活动时间为10-11: 30 am,即一个半小时, Children's yoga的活动时间为5:30-6:30 pm,是一个小时,时长不一样,故D项错误。
shake sth. up彻底调整。
I mentioned to friends that I was looking for a challenge ... and it made sense可知,Claire在了解到Elise Downing和Christian Lewis的非凡事迹后受到启发,决定开启自己的旅程。
26. C。 Having to find a place to sleep made me choose a cause to raise money for Shelter and Only A Pavement Away, two amazing homeless charities可知,在Claire为寻找睡觉的地方而经历挣扎后,她决定为无家可归者相关的慈善机构筹集资金,为那些无家可归者贡献自己的力量。
根据最后一段中的“Hopefully I've made the world a better place and inspired at least one other person to head out and take on a big challenge, to make them feel alive again,” Claire adds可知,Claire希望通过分享自己的经历,能够激励其他人走出舒适区,去迎接重大挑战,让他们重新感受到活力。
A new, wheelchair - accessible “Word Wagon” is set to bring the Internet, outreach, DVDs, audiobooks and a collection of physical books to Wasco County's more remote and underserved communities可知,“Word Wagon”项目的主要目的是将图书馆相关服务带到偏远且服务不足的社区。
If people don't have Internet service, Dyer can help them access the online collection of ebooks, Library2Go, on the Word Wagon's Internet. There, people can place holds and download their books for offline reading between the Word Wagon's visits可知,对于没有网络服务的人,“Word Wagon”项目能帮助他们通过车上的网络访问电子书在线馆藏,并且可以下载书籍以便在车离开后离线阅读,也就是为他们提供了离线阅读材料。
30. A。 Asked why this project is significant to her 以及Kristen Dyer的话,尤其是having a library for all of those things has been important as a human, as a parent and a kid. I think a well - educated community is important for our survival可知,本段中Kristen Dyer解释了这个项目对于个人以及整个社区教育等方面的重要性,故A项为正确选项。
But as far as outreach services go, I can't see myself doing anything else ... I love meeting people where they are and providing services ... it's the most fun I've had, working可知,Kristen Dyer作为外展馆员,最喜欢的就是走到人们身边并为他们提供服务,这让她觉得工作充满乐趣。
As a high school teacher, I still ask my students to send me handwritten essays可知,作者要求学生手写文章。
33. A。 I am interested in how I might encourage my students to use AI in acceptable ways that support their academic goals(我感兴趣的是如何鼓励我的学生以可接受的方式使用人工智能,助力他们达成学业目标)和A good example of this is using Grammarly可知,作者以Grammarly为例,说明自己支持学生合理使用AI工具。
34. A。 It's important and necessary that students don't simply see these technologies as “cool tools that know everything” and instead — before they use them — are taught by the educators about their limitations(重要且必要的是,学生们不应仅仅将这些技术视为“无所不能的酷炫工具”,相反,在使用它们之前,教育工作者应该让学生们意识到这些技术的局限性)可知,作者认为教育工作者应该让学生们意识到AI不是万能的。
Studies suggest that writing by hand promotes more complex brain connections that are important in understanding new information. In other words, the actual act of writing by hand can deepen the understanding of whatever students are learning in their classes(研究表明,手写能促进更复杂的大脑连接,而这种连接对于理解新信息十分重要。 There will be plenty of time for young people — after they've learned to think for themselves — to adapt to AI's role in their futures. While they're young, let's not rush them可知,作者认为手写文章有其独特的好处,在学生还小的时候,应该让他们先学会独立思考,不要急于让他们过度依赖AI,这说明作者认为传统教学方法在AI时代仍然有意义。
The best way to get started with cooking — or improve the skills you already have — is to make friends with your kitchen强调开始烹饪或者提升烹饪技能的最佳方式是与厨房“交朋友”,也就是要熟悉厨房。 You can do this by opening drawers and doors, seeing what's in the fridge, and learning about knives and tools指出可以通过打开抽屉、查看冰箱、了解刀具和工具等方式去探索厨房。 下文中的this指代D项中的Exploring the kitchen。
37. B。 The first thing you'll want to know about your kitchen is what ingredients — all the different food and seasonings — you have to work with明确指出首先要了解厨房里有哪些食材、调味品可以用来烹饪,由此可知,本部分重点围绕食材展开,故B项能够准确概括该部分核心内容。
Ingredients can be found in several places表明食材可以在多个地方被找到,下文中的Seeing what you have can help you decide what you can make right away or whether you need to add to your family's shopping list to make a recipe则指出要查看已有的食材来决定当下可以做什么食物或者是否需要往购物清单里添加食材。
For example, a cookie sheet can be used to make cookies, but it's also useful for roasting cut-up vegetables mixed with olive oil and salt and pepper举例说明了像烤盘这样的工具不仅可以用来做饼干,还能用于烤制拌了橄榄油、盐和胡椒的切碎蔬菜,也就是体现了一些工具具有多种不同用途。
And they can also supervise while you use them中的they指代上文提到的人,说明上文提到的人既能做某事又能在使用过程中进行指导。

Claire Allen had her own house, a great job she enjoyed and a loving family but something was missing. For years she felt she’ d simply lacked(缺乏) a focus, a drive. Approaching fiftly, each year felt the same. She needed to shake things up.
Then, one day. Claire had a sudden idea after learning about the feats(壮举) of others. “I mentioned to friends that I was looking for a challenge.and then came across Elise Downing, who ra n the UK's coat in ten months, and a guy called Christian Lewis, who did it over a number of years. " Claire says. " It seemed like fate (命运)— — and it made sense. "
Claire decided then that she, too, would walk the UK's coast. And she set off on her journey last summer. The journey did present a few challenges. For Claire, the struggles seemed small compared to what she got. “Having to find a place to sleep made me choose a cause to raise money for Shelter and Only A Pavement Away, two amazing homeless charities. When it was cold and wet, I could find shelter in free and warm libraries or railway waiting rooms, providing a safe space for a single woman. I'd meet homeless people there and talk to them about their lives.and then buy them a cup of tea or something to eat. "
Finally, on Sunday, July 28 - after over 4,000 miles, 50 weeks, and the UK's three highest places —— she was back at John O' Greats where she'd started. Claire says she is now sure that she will do another big mission (任务) soon, but more hopes that her story can inspire others to step out of their comfort zone(舒适区). “Hopefully I' ve made the world a

A new, wheelchair-accessible“Word Wagon” is set to bring theInternet, outreach (外展服务), DVDs, audiobooks and a collection of physical books to Wasco County's more remote(偏远的) and underserved communities.
The Dalles Public Library recently celebrated the addition of a huge bus. Costing $220,000, it's the biggest thing librarians can drive without a commercial license (执照). The inside can hold about 1,000 books, anInternet router and other library materials. This“state-of-the-art” Mercedes bus is supposed to run up to half a million miles in its lifetime — the only further cost is maintenance(维护).
Outreach librarian Kristen Dyer plans to drive many of those miles, with 13 stops a month in communities underserved by libraries. Each stop will last at least two hours, in the afternoon or evening. The program kicks off in November.
If remote users place a hold on any of Oregon's Sage Library System materials by a computer, Dyer can deliver the goods. If people don't haveInternet service, Dyer can help them access the online collection of ebooks,Library2Go, on the Word Wagon's Internet. There, people can place holds and download their books for offline reading between the Word Wagon's visits. She' ll bring library card applications and program info for people who can't drive long distances to the libraries of Sage System.
Asked why this project is significant to her, Dyer said, “I' ve lived in the countryside most of my adult life, and I love the peace. But I do art and reading and writing and, having a library for all of those things has been important as a human, as a parent and a kid. I think a well-educated community is important for our survival.”
The outreach librarian always thought of herself as an introvert(内向的人). She said, “But as far as outreach services go, I can't see myself doing anything else ... I love meeting people where they are and providing services ... it's the most fun I' ve had, working.”
28. What does the project aim to do
A. Support local businesses and services.
B. Share library materials with the disabled.
C. Call on people to give out their unwanted books.
D. Bring library services to underdeveloped communities.
29. In which way does the project help people without Internet access
A. It allows them to focus on reading paper books.
B. It provides them with offline reading materials.
C. It offers free Internet at chosen library locations.
D. It gives them access to local libraries.
30. What does Kristen Dyer talk about in paragraph 5
A. The importance of the project.
B. The meaning of reading books.
C. The influence of a good community.
D. The reason why she wants to be a librarian.
31. What does Kristen Dyer enjoy most as an outreach librarian
A. Driving the“Word Wagon” around the county.

I recently had a parent say to me, “ChatGPT can produce a good essay(文章) on just about any topic in 3.4 seconds. You' re not still teaching kids essay writing the old way, are you ” Good question. As a high school teacher, I still ask my students to send me handwritten essays. Yes, it's true:Al tools like ChatGPT and other large language models (LLMs) are great resources. But I still like the“old way”.
If the“new way” creates more time for students’ other activities and less stress for students, as an educator, I am interested in how I might encourage my students to use AI in acceptable ways that support their academic(学术的) goals. A good example of this is using Grammarly while writing an essay. But, if by“old way” that parent meant that I'm still asking students to write without ChatGPT, even with a pencil and pi ete of paper, my answer is also yes. Studies suggest that writing by hand promotes more complex (复杂 的) brain connections that are important in understanding new information. In other words, the actual act of writing by hand can deepen the understanding of whatever students are learning in their classes.
Sometimes, Al tools can“cheat”, leading to misinformation that many students might ignore(忽视). It's important and necessary that students don't simply see these technologies as“cool tools that know everything”and instead—— before they use them—— are taught by the educators about their limitations.
As teachers get better at helping students learn how to use Al and students get better at using it, there will certainly be reasons for them to do so for the sake of efficiency However, remember the saying that“childhood goes so fast” It's true. There will be plenty of time for young people—— after they' ve learned to think for themselves—— to adapt toAI's role in their futures. While they' re young, let's not rush them.
32. What is the author's requirement for her students
A. Joining school activities. B. Writing essays by hand.
C. Knowing different LLMs. D. Learning a second language.
33. What can we learn about the author from the example given in paragraph 2
A. She supports the responsible use of AL
B. She values teacher-parent relationships.
C. She worries LLMs would replace teachers.
D. She promotes paperless teaching and learning.
34. What should educators make students realize according to the author
A. AI is not all-powerful. B. Learning efficiency matters.
C. Progress does not happen overnight.
D. LLMs can be great learning resources.
35. Which statement will the author probably agree with
A. Student years have a strong impact on students' future lives.
B. In education, whether old or new, what works is a good approach.
C. Educators should have confidence in the new generation of students.
D. Traditional teaching approaches still hold significance in the age of AI.
